The first album I ever owned. I was 11. I happened to have a little money in my pocket during a visit to Ames, so I went into the electronics department and came out with this. I don't have the CD anymore, but I remember it fondly and still put on a few of the songs from time to time.

BNL are one of the most fun bands I've ever known. I love that their tongue is firmly in cheek, on this video and in general! Does anyone else find it a bit eerie that Steven Page "quits" the band in this video?

Great music can be created without a click track; this song proves it. They start rushing on the last chorus but the whole take sounds fantastic.

Back when music didn't need to be quantized to a grid. I think this record was recorded on tape. I think their first time doing a recording session to a DAW was the song Get In Line for the King of the Hill soundtrack album. The guy basically had Tyler play a few bars at a time, then he assembled a drum track and it sounded nothing like a prototypical Tyler Stewart drum part, to the point where he had to learn his own drum part so he could play it live.
