Mechanics:
- Game works like Turboforce where it gives you random stuff, it does it on almost every enemy (whether if it drops something or not is also random)
- There's a bomb system where you charge up your belly gauge up to 3 levels, when you get a beer bottle after 3 levels you autobomb. How long and strong your bomb is dependent on the level. Rainbow beer bottles charge your belly gauge to full
- Get extends by getting the letters of CHRISTMAS (its also random), it kills every enemy on screen too.
- The orb power up gives you invincibility
- Giftboxes either does two things, power up your shot or activate your character-dependent hyper shot.
- Game has 4 more modes that are impossible to clear :
Boss Rush Mode is just a boss rush and no stages so you get little to no resources
Hyper Mode is just Arcade Mode but with faster enemies, doesn't affect bosses or bullet speed
Hyper Boss Rush Mode is Boss Rush but two bosses per level including bosses from the previous game in this series
Challenge Mode seems to be one long stage portion, you can play as the final boss if you clear (even with continues) Hyper Boss Rush but only on this mode only.
Anyways the general strategy to deal with this bosses is you have to speedkill them with bombs or you pray (you will just die most of the time anyway since expect you'll be low on power and the boss will live for a long time with that damage). Bosses are really random and pretty unfair at times (Stage 4 boss is on the more easier side since its a static boss, other bosses can have random moments that will kill you). Game is really random with this system in hand so some luck can be needed to clear.
The Stage 6 boss uses random phases after doing the yellow shots pattern, 2 attacks it can do are pretty impossible although I think they can be safespotted in a way it can lessen the chance to kill you (But I think it still can if you're unlucky.)
