Good bargaining. You got better prices than locals. One thing to remember that these street vendors don't make big money , they just make barely enough to feed their families. We step into a big brand store and are prepared to pay big premium handing them a huge profit. Not all street vendors quote higher prices for the tourists. But starting the bargaining at 50% of the asking price is really something that I can't do. Good bargaining but remember that these guys makes barely enough money for the day.

I always try and get things for half the price they tell me and I'll come up a little if it's something I really want. That's a good rule of thumb and like you did don't be afraid to walk away. Good chance you'll get it for half price or at the lowest price they can give you from some one else. It's all part of the fun of shopping at the markets. Cheers

You mean the tourist price,a lot of people don't understand that if you are going to another country you need to get the local it's hard to know the local price but you must bargain so that you are not getting ripped off.

Dale. My man.. As Sri Lankans we also can't bargain with Petha street sellers. Good job. Keep it up...!!!

Haha thank you my friend. You can do it but they will maybe be rude.
OMG Dale you are very good in bargaining.... most of these sellers are doing these small businesses with very difficulties with loans and not earning much... they have to feed so many tummies with their businesses... I doubt you can buy a same size T shirt in M&S or Primark or any UK shop for 3 quids... Anyway your abilities to blend with any culture or level of people is amazing... really enjoying your videos... it seemed like you have not met any of your friends in this videos😂 like Tuk Tuk drivers or friendly stray dogs.....

Good that I gave them some extra business that day then. Happy to support the local economy. :)
