A metal stud in the leather where you push-off and a cut-out where the retention strap goes back when drawing... Firm push-off point and recessed strap! ...you could even use bungie/shock-cord to get the strap to ping back!

I got a BR LT1 in Royal Pearl Kirinite. I sold most of my other knives to buy my BR. It truly is an awesome knife. I'll never sell it and be sure to pass it down the family line. Their warranty is outstanding.

Hey love your videos! Wondering if you still have this one. My gunny hunter LT in 3V is one of my favorite outdoors knives.

According to BR videos I've seen, the ramp is not supposed to be for your thumb. It is for striking a ferro rod. Never tried it myself because I've never bought one that way.

I have grinded that ramp off of my Bravo 1.5 knife. It was in my thumbs way. Didn't like it at all.

Stelmans Lt I also ground off two Gunny’s, aBravo one and my Bravo 2. Why I ordered them puzzles me to this day?

Definitely buying this one soon... I have the bravo EDC In Elmax... just dropped it and broke the tip. Time to find out exactly how good this warranty is!

Aaron Rowe ohhh shit! I guess its a pretty delicate tip! How much did you lose? Buck just reground my Compadre when I did that to mine. Was totally happy with that

Say Heah Cedric, Yeah I got the standard Bravo 1 in 3V. The thickness is .216" so yeah, it's just a little thicker than a 3/16" and a little thinner than a 1/4". But as a Survival knife, I like mine robust. I still could wood craft with it. ,, .

Subscribed just because of the unexpected "Thickness" joke! Caught me off guard. How do you like BR'c convex vs. Fallkniven's convex?
@CedricAda8 жыл бұрын
The boner jokes are my honey trap. I think its a bit steeper and more slicey vs the fallkniven and its broader, choppier, sturdier grind. These are a bit more fragile, possibly, to chipping and stuff. I've got a couple teeny microchips on this already from a bit of chopping, but nothing that wont buff out pretty easily. I never had chipping issues on my fallknivens and I've smashed them. Although I know others have.

Nice initial review. I have a lot of Bravos' in different lengths. Any I got with a ramp I removed immediately myself ( taking great care not to over-heat/screw up the grind in any way). I absolutely abhor the ramp ;taking it off changes the knife completely for the better regarding ergonomics and thumb use. I used a belt sander w/120 grit zirconium belt clamped vertical to the workbench , tray of ice water , and went at it. Glad I did.Cpm 3v is an amazing steel and not hard to sharpen , even with stropping ( Silicon-carbide sandpaper works best . I use 15 micron/1000 grit and it's hair-popping sharp.Also recommend Flexcut gold for a stropping compound - even sharper yet.Keep up the great reviews from Down under ! Pete in Alberta

e-ew-neu/rotic experience was it? my tip: remove the ramp! I know it looks cool but it just does not let the Bravo 1 be all it can be...
@CedricAda8 жыл бұрын
SpartanJohns I hear ya - I have just finished up the full review, and I still dont hate it... I'd probably get rid of it if I was confident... but I worry I'd muck up my nice knife!!

Did you get any edge damage after all that use? I have the same knife and it loses its shaving sharpness after 5 mins of carving aussie hardwood

enough to interrupt a paper slice, but I could generally strop it back fairly well

*My problem with BARK RIVER KNIVES is their micarta is too slick. Now SURVIVE KNIVES has a great grippy micarta, BUT I don't care entirely for their knife designs/shapes. If Bark RIVER would get the micarta that SURVIVE KNIVES uses then they would have the best product out there.*
@greekveteran27154 жыл бұрын
They make some Bravo and other models, with mat micarta.
@hanserich183 жыл бұрын
i mean you could always sand down the handle a bit, as their handles are polished with wax. Scrubbing it with dish soap also works, but its less effective. it worked for me though. Enough grippiness, especially when you get sweaty hands fast :)

Unpopular opinion, but I just find bark river knives look ugly honestly. But i mean the delica 'aint a pretty knife, but it does what it needs to do...
