My jaguar was a 1973 xj12. Unbelievable power and comfort. I had many electrical problems. Jaguar repaired the wiper switch. The next day after the repair we went to a NFL football game. We were setting in our seats and low and behold there on the big TV screen was my jaguar... On 🔥 fire. In the parking lot. What a final farewell to a great car.

From mid 1969 I owned a 1958 3.4litre Mk1 (4 speed manual with electric overdrive on 4th, factory wire wheels with Dunlop disc brakes all round) for about 6 years and had to sell it to put a roof on the house I built in 1975/76. Riding in it was similar to the ride in a large taxiing aircraft, quiet, smooth and a little floaty. Yes, it had heavy steering (though quite easy in reverse) and was a beast to park, but high pressures in the tyres made a big difference. 41mph 1st, 64mph 2nd, 96mph 3rd, 120mph 4th at the 5500rpm redline. Great car for driving long distances. NSW Australia

Love the Jag’s. When I was about 8yo....we lived in Malaysia (my father was in the Australian Airforce). Whilst we were there he had those two exact same model jags. Had an 87' xj6... you will love this car..the ride..the engine sound...4-speed O/D! If you do the engine work yourself..you can afford to own it..otherwise ouch. The head gaskets will leak...but I've used that cheap radiator stop leak, worked for about 1 year, then did it again for another year. A head rebuild and valve shimming can be pricey, shop around.

@Edward Gross It's a Mk1. They seem quite rear now, everyone went for the Mk2 once they came on the scene. Jaguar did consider the 2.5 V8s larger 4.5 litre V8 brother but ended up not using in their cars.

Great buy, you should get the red one he was offering as well and use it as parts for the Bugatti. What a car that would be with full Jag running gear. The Jag independent rear suspension or IRS is legendary and has been used in the rod and custom world in the UK for years. Super strong, good looking, easy to mount , disc brakes and easy to narrow with just a welder pretty much. And what was that about the blue one? Are you getting that as well. An MGB GTV8? They are one hell of a car and very hard to find nowadays. Going to make for some GREAT content, can’t wait 👍👍👍👍👍

I don't know if it was said in the video but that is European spec XJ6. It has SU carbs not Strombergs which all the ones in Canada had. It has no marker lights on the side they didn't have them in Europe but had to have them in North America. I'm guessing the speedometer was changed to miles so the 48000 might not be correct.
