Best tractor you’ve had on your channel so far 😂! I have a Massey 135 and a 245 orchard model. One thing Massey had back then is ground speed pto. I’ve used it a lot to run a hay Tedder so the pto turns slow and makes it easier on the crop. Great video!

Excellent video Hank :) also that knob control is for your arm in hydraulics pressure release for fluid and when adjusting arms of 3 point hitch height to stop when in close position in open position can adjusting too ! Also Hank it also works if had loader on arms (cylinders on left also right pressure) to keep up or middle or middle or down ) ! Plus won't be adjusting on up and down control's to Hank :) also usefull that tap stop hydraulics pressure when engine running so don't get burned by hot hydraulic fluid to and find leaks to fast plus when engine shut down you change Hydraulic fluid filter to also bleeding system like Fuel System in Desiel fuel motor on fuel filter or injectors plus fuel lines ! Yes 2 speed high and low speeds transmission are excellent too plus double clutching even shifting too especially when traveling on roads to keep up with traffic Lol! Also that Massey Ferguson tractor need J pipe made plus circle muffler called Piglet with rain cap of that manifold Hank :) if fix Desiel motor fuel are hard lungs to breath from and get Infumezem breathing problems later in life ! Infumezem is need Oxygen to breathe and worst Asthma symptoms in lungs called Silent Killer my Late grandmother Ruby also Uncle Billy JR died from it ! Only way to keep uncontrolled is Oxygen tank like Propane cylinders of Torch type and bedroom with welders cylinders with mask when sleeping! Sorry scare you Hank and everyone but be nice information about fumes do over years and Infumezem some people get in seniors age over 70 or born with it or get exposed with chemicals!

Those masseys like that are 3 speed hi lo in the standard version. I think that transmission makes it an 8 speed instead of a 6 if I remember right. Also that’s not the original seat, that’s a aftermarket replacement so someone was putting some work into it at one time especially with that sediment bowl and all that looking that new. The valve under the seat is for the rear remotes. So that tractor more than likely has two lift pumps instead of just one. I knew when you said Massey and diesel and saw that front end it was gonna start as long as it had a good battery. Before I got mine it set for almost 2 years. Turned the key and on the second turn of the crank it fired up. Also I don’t think that’s a homemade bush hog cause it’s almost identical to the one we have, just the hitch is slightly different. I believe it’s an old brown or king cutter bush hog. That thing reminds me so much of what I remember when I was younger. My grandpa ran his straight manifold until I was about 18-19. Not even a a small piece of pipe like that. O and if it’s like mine, it 45.4 hp. The gas versions were like 32hp. Sorry for the super long comment I got excited seeing another old Massey.

There's a reason why I'd much rather get a older small tractor for our small space with a 3-pt linkage. sometimes they are gas powered, and I'm pretty sure up here you can get a deal for like 3k or less for something like that. Of course, another reason is the price of the compacts. pretty much for what we would like it's like 14k at a ton of places, just for a tractor.
