Thanks! Many (actually, most) customers will leave the timbers unfinished. Being on the inside, they are not subject to weathering. Some customers will apply a stain or clear sealant on the timbers for a certain color or shine they're looking for. On the outside, most will stain the shiplap siding, and some will paint it. A few customers leave the exterior shiplap to weather and it will turn gray like many old barns across the country. Hope this helps answer your question.
