This year was also the year of the volcom tour with Mastodon headlining and Baroness, Between The Buried and Me, and Valent Thorr. These two songs were my exact introduction to Baroness. I bought blue record right there at the gig lmao.

Still I think that saying they sound like Mastodon is selling them short. They have a style of their own and I like it a lot more than Mastodon, actually! They are one of my favorite bands since I listened Blue Record, and they deserve a lot more respect and recognition than what they have at the moment, at least in my opinion :)
