That seat looks like a camera mans position. The camerman stands on the plates, holds onto the "backrest" whilst facing backwards (or leans on it facing forwards) and films. Remember seeing a thing in Ride about the BMW RTs used during the olympics, And its an FJR13 so still suitable.

The bike with the frame was a camera bike. Theres usually a cameraman sat facing backwards. You tend to find them in cycling events - there was a big cycle event in london recently.

i suppose it depends how you categorise 'fastest'. Monza is full throttle for almost 90% of the lap (pro's). Never ridden Phillip Island but from watching on the telly box, i would categorise Monza as a 'faster' circuit.

What setup do you use especially the mic. I've got the Roadhawk ride very light but a pain to set up as it has no screen. My mate got the Drift HD after I recommended it to him after watching your vids and find your sound is much better than his. Roadhawk is crap for sound! Keep up the good work!

The frame on that other bike is actually for photographers/camera men to stand on while moving. You can see them doing it during cycling events and road running.

Barron, the framework on that bike is for a camera man. The BBC use them for outside events like the London marathon etc, the running boards are so they can stand up or sit round the opposite way to film.
