Weller find-ability LOL - exactly. In my area Stagg Jr.is more likely to be found than ECBP. 1792 FP is on the shelf right now at Total Wine. ECBP is my all time favorite, but agree that Stagg Jr is a fantastic bourbon

I work at a liquor store so I got lucky bc we had just gotten 1 bottle didn't even know we had it until what I call allocation hunters came in N bout out the 4 different whiskeys we had allocated to us. As they were leaving they saw the Stagg an were gonna buy it but didn't so I was like hmm let's try this. My god its so good lol

Great video boys. Thanks to you guys I realized the one and only bottle of Baby Stagg I own is Batch 12. It's my only point of reference, as I have not touched my instruments to any other. That said, Dan is a 100% on the 1792FP. Me and my brother had it a couple weeks ago and it's all Bananas Foster. It needs a little water to open it up imo. It's corn funky and continues to change as you sip.

Honestly if you can get it under 100 I'd say you're doing ok. It's for sure worth picking up one and having for a higher price. Unless I see it under 80 now I'll probably never buy another. It's fantastic, but so are 2-4 bottles of something else.

Next time you should add a lower-quality control bourbon in there. If I were doing this, I'd fear that placebo effect of them all being good would effect my judgement.

1792 full proof is the control. We don't ever drink it and think it's over hyped (at least we did before doing this blind). Problem with putting low quality bourbon is, it generally sticks out like a sore thumb and doesn't provide any benefit.

Weller FP - 60 ECBP - 60 Stagg Jr - 60 1792 FP- 50 Rough prices around state mins, but they hardly ever go for state min so adding 10 is about standard. Unless it says Weller, then double it!

Stagg Jr you can just Google for a batch list and match the proofs up. ECBP they do 3 batches a year. A1, B5, and C9, the years will follow (last 2) e.g. A116 or B517. Our favorite has been C919, the last batch from this last year. Those numbers are on the front label.
