We are not knowing the meaning of a “covenantal relationship” according to the Jewish way, and the “covenant” that God has with us. It is a very sacred thing and discussing it with others is really a thing that comes “ against” the private trust the couple is building. Our culture has discussed it in so many different ways many are so many derogatory and devaluing ways. Pornography and prostitution are symptoms of a need for intimacy by men who can not find a “covenant” safe sacred trusting relationship where the wife APPRECIATES the husbands REAL AND GODLY NEED TO LOVE WHAT HE “OWNS” (sorry ladies, but this matters) in a Physical way. A wife who can “receive” AND appreciate this God-given need to a man is quite a find, because men’s needs have been so devalued compared to the needs of a woman. The culture seems to have no respect or regard for the Physical needs…only the emotional needs. But men STILL NEED TO BE MEN, and they take special care of those who “belong to them, wives and children. Women need to understand also that MEN do not like to “talk things over”. Generally, if women would see that He WANTS his wife to ENJOY WHAT HE BRINGS to the relationship. He feels good about his role when his love is received well and enjoyed together. He doesn’t really want to be alone in this sacred act. He also IS the one who needs to know the respect toward HIS WAY of loving. Emotional connection will happen when you both receive Each other’s offering to the relationship. If you want to talk, Go for a walk. Men like to talk and walk together. Something about not being forced to look eye to eye in an intimate relationship. Emotional connection is difficult for men. We should stop trying to get men to connect FIRST. Connect in the order of the man FIRST, and then YOU WILL SEE a change in your relationship. The couple who gives to the needs of the other enjoying each other, and enjoying that God has brought you together to HAVE EACH OTHER, AND TO HOLD EACH OTHER….more than any other person in your life. A man who is appreciated and enjoyed together will not NEED pornography, or prostitution. Trust needs to grow through each time together….trust leads to intimacy. Knowing your love will not be rejected, man or woman, is the most important thing to lead to TRUSTING EACH OTHER, AND FINALLY INTIMACY. DO you TRUST someone who you think might reject you? Receive with gladness and appreciate what you have been trusted with. This is ALSO how our God wants a relationship with us. Satan offers the “lack of intimacy”, but it always “looks good on the outside”, and never satisfies or means something special and sacred. Only the “covenant of marriage” will bring God’s best to our lives in marriage. Intimacy grows through trust and sincere love…..and more so in “marriage”.
