Actually the original script had more characters. This movie was announced in 2019 and the shooting began in early 2020 (location pics containing mohanlal and prithviraj went viral at that time). But soon the covid 19 restrictions were imposed and they had to wrap the shoot. Later in 2022 when they restarted the shooting, Prithviraj walked out of the project as he had other commitments and also due to the busy schedule of Mohanlal, the script was rewritten with majority of indoor scenes and less characters.

This movie was a passion project was Mohanlal. What I understood from his interview was if not him, this movie wouldn’t have been made. But while the movie shooting was going on, there were so many changes that had happened including budget constraints. This is a children fantasy movie similar to Chronicles of Narnia but with an Indian touch. It should be something related to the Portugal period. The fact is this movie will not run at the BO. People might go and experience once to get the 3D feel but while checking out interviews from Santosh Sivan & Rajeev TK, they seemed to be diplomatic and praising Mohanlal for his creativity. Looks like story is fucked up!!
