I've always loved the song, and these dear friends' chemistry shows through. More than that, this performance was at "Sound Relief" in Sydney. It was part of concert(s) put together to help with relief for the awful fires in Australia that year. It's interesting that they both were born in Britain and spent time in Australia in their childhoods. This was a lovely pick for the music and also what they were about as giving, charitable people.

Two old friends having a jam....nothing could be more natural. Fun fact....the title of this song was affectionately known in Ireland as 'Ireland's industry'. This went on for years and even after decades I still find myself singing those words. I love the song and Oliva Newton John RIP. Used to love Barry and Mo singing this in one of their concert medleys. You could really hear Mo's harmony. Great reaction Chad thanks x

Such a good performance of such a good song! I think it's so sweet how you can tell the deep friendship they had just from this performance! It's like Barry said on Instagram when ONJ passed away, they grew up together in Australia with the same experiences and she was like a sister to him.

This song written by the Gibb brothers was first released by Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers in 1983 and got a lot of rewards Man! as the best released Contry song ever. Hearing this by Dolly and Ken, nobody will link this with the Gibb brothers as composer

Australia had been hit by Floods up north and fires down south. So two concerts had been arranged in Melbourne and this one in Sydney. Barry got a phone call from an old mate Molly Meldrum to see if he’d headline the Sydney concert and he flew out without delay. This is the result. Check out “spicks and specks” from this concert, the crowd goes crazy as it’s Australia's Bee Gee hit.

I prefer some other versions. Of course this was done for a good cause. I like The Bee Gees own version with the amazing harmonies. Also prefer Rogers/Parton maybe because it's the one I'm most familiar with and I just find Dolly's voice more intriguing with the touch of spunk and humor she always brings. I also like the one on The Bee Gees LP, The Record.

Think all the versions you mentioned are very good, also on many of their live-performances. When Robin sings it on 'The Record', it's really cool, so 'Ghetto Supastar' was included. But the sound on it brings in a cold breeze into a sunny island. Just what I feel about it.

Blitz und Donna im Mai, dann is da April vobei (Bavarian farmer-rule). Translation: Lightning and thunder in may, then april is gone away. You see, rhyming also functions in english, that way.

​@@susieq9801of course you have to be negative its Barry and Olivia and everyone is better than them right. Olivia had a much better voice and range than Dolly, there is simply no comparison. This was at a charity concert, to say anything negative about this at all is simply uncalled for.

@@TheBrownlj - Oh dear, what a terrible comment I made. I just didn't particularly like Olivia's voice. My prerogative. I prefer women with more powerful voices like Dusty Springfield, Linda Ronstadt or Patsy Cline. Just personal taste. Dolly was also a little spitfire and I liked her personality which she exuded when she sang. That's not negativity.
