A Nebraska person here but really enjoyed this video. When I think of Oklahoma I think of all the great players but it always starts with those Selmon Brothers.

As a lifelong sooners fan who loved the selmons your Cornhuskers never had anything to be ashamed of. I will always say during the 70's and 80's the 2 classiest coaches were coach Osborne and coach Switzer

I grew up in North Jersey and our whole neighborhood had Oklahoma jerseys. We all would all switch to which one of the three Selmon brothers we were depending on the position we were playing on defense. Not only that but I remember seeing Dewey when he was with Tampa Bay talking about the importance of academics. I was in 7th grade and realized I needed to study harder. Such a great family!

My dad always told me a story about the Selmon brothers. It was a press conference of a Nebraska QB talking about the game they lost to OU that day. He said every time I snapped the ball, I’d go left and there was a Selmon, I’d go right and there was a Selmon, I’d go up the middle and there was a Selmon. He said he couldn’t get away from them.

I still have the issue of the brothers on the cover of SI. Undeniably the First family of OU football.

In the world of athletes I would consider the Selmon Brothers a phenomena. I can't recall three brothers in any sport that played together and did for the Sooners football team what they did in the early to mid 70s. If Barry has not written a book with all his stories in it yet I hope he gets on it real soon. He is a great storyteller with a lot of them to tell.

Anyone who has epilepsy seizures from flashes needs to skip 3:56 to 4:06 on the timer. It happens again at 4:14 so I'm not sure how much this flash will happen. Maybe just avoid this video.

Barry is conveniently forgetting the 1975 Kansas loss, which was his first loss as head coach. Barry was still my coach and always will be.

They asked someone what it was like to block a Selman, and he said like trying to block an animal, just like an animal lol. I saw them play and when the defense would come off the field, everyone was trying to see them up close.

Barry, I love you buddy....but 1975 was not an undefeated season. Kansas beat you at home 23-3.
