I think right now is the best time to buy as ford is giving $8k off and dealers are giving further $4k off. In January you are right people buy less but neither dealer nor ford is motivated enough to encourage sales as it is new year new model and they kind off expect sales to plummet. Saying this i am buying tremor 2024 black 402a this week…

I have the 3.5 Ecoboost Tremor. I've had the 5.0 in one of my Mustangs; currently have the 5.2 Voodoo engine in my GT350, etc. While those are great engines, you have to get them WAY up in the RPMS to experience the performance. With the 3.5 Ecoboost, you get 500 foot pounds of torque - with max torque around 2,500 RPM. And in Sport mode, you just touch the pedal and it pushes you back in the seat right off the rip. I leave it in 4WD auto, and i've dust so many other vehicles from a dig/from stop lights it's hilarious. It out performs the F150's with the 5.0, period.

I love the wide body look of the Raptor, larger tires and the suspension. I don’t off road a lot, actually i do if you consider the potholes in Baltimore 🤣. My raptor eats those up. I tow with my bass boat with Raptor but it’s only about 4k lbs. which the Raptor is very capable of towing. Both are nice but I’m a Raptor fanboy.

If you intend to keep the truck long-term & do some towing the tremor will run alot longer if you trade up every 4-6 years & dont tow the raptor might be tight for you

It would seem the leaf spring tremor should be a better towing truck than the Raptor!
@marksullivan820017 күн бұрын
@CTECH-REVIEW personally I'd add the RAS road active suspension easy bolt on to the leaf springs making the leaf springs work far more effectively both towing & normal driving by design especially towing though
@Nate-zy5ce3 ай бұрын
Do you know, if I got the Tremor and levelled/lifted it maybe 2 1/2" to 3 1/2" and added 35's to replace the stock 33's, maybe a bit of poke too, could a full 35 spare still fit in the spare spot under the rear of the bed in the Tremor? If not, where do you put it, is there something that can be done to make it fit there? Also, does doing that after market work in any way negatively affect the use of the front torsion diff or anything else in the Tremor? If I did that work I wouldn't be averse to further upgrading the Tremor suspension, better coil springs, shocks, control arms, balls, whatever if needed. I don't care so much about the towing as I do the extra payload capacity of the Tremor compared to the Raptor, I just thought the payload difference would be greater. On a side note, I wish I could get the Powerboost as an option in the 2025 Tremor, and I wish all the F150's put a light on either side in the front of the bed just like in the rear that can turn on with that stock switch. I heard a rumor by two youtubers about the Powerboost being available on the 2025 Tremor, but others said no, not true. Oh, one other question. Do you notice a difference in comfort between the Raptor and Tremor leather seats, is one more comfortable than the other, especially on longer highway drives? Front and rear? You mentioned more bolstering on the Raptor but what padding in the seat beneath your butt. You said they're both comfortable but in different ways, maybe you could expand on that comment? And does the suspension make the Raptor a more comfortable, noticeably smoother drive than the Tremor? I do a lot of highway driving, among other types, but also drive in mountainy snowstorms a lot. Thanks. And another, now that they've apparently dropped the "Deep snow/sand" mode on both, I wish I could get the custom mode R button on the Tremor too. I wonder if it would be useful putting a larger cold air intake into the Tremor, if it's even possible, if that might help it at high altitudes a bit and maybe increase average mpg a bit? I've actually been considering a Platinum or Platinum plus as well, and doing some similar after market mods on it, so that I can get the Powerboost, and the max luxury interior, but then I'd have to forego the Front torsion diff, and from what I understand that is not only useful off road, but will also help in snow and ice and big snowstorms some too, very relevant to me. Also, i understand that if you add the FX4 package to the Platinums you lose the dampening shocks, though maybe I'd lose those anyway if I upgraded the coils springs and shocks and such with my level/lift, so less relevant. And though I do get to the deserts, I'm more likely to be on trails, am a little concerned about the much greater width of the Raptor. That said, man, I'd really love that buttery smooth highway drive of the Raptor so many comment on, and that extra minimum road clearance, especially of the 37 package. Round and round. Buying in 2025 so in research phase now.

Lots of great questions here: Let me unpack what I know...I do not see the Powerboost being available YET on the Tremor, but I have heard Ford is trying to sneak the PB in the tremor and Raptor...but if you do highway driving I dont think you will see much MPG improvement with PB over standard motor. Regarding comfort in seats...I personally like the Raptor seat more, its very comfortable..regarding torsion front diff..awesome feature for extreme off road use, rock crawling, mud and deep deep snow...other than that I do not think its that useful, and it has some drawbacks. Regarding spare tire under the Tremor being a 35...great question, I think you will need to get under one if possible and just see if there is enough clearance to get one in. I think its going to be tight...but I got a 37 spare to fit under my 35 package raptor...you have to get creative! If it cant fit you would have to put in the bed or see if a Raptor bumper is an option to get you more clearance. You can typically put 35s on a standard F-150 with the proper leveling kit...I recommend the Roush Fox 2.0 setup..expensive but really nice. Check out my MPG videos comparing different trucks and engines to see how they do on the highway! Good luck on your search!

@@CTECH-REVIEW You mentioned drawbacks of the front torsion diff, what are those? I really appreciate that extra 4WD capability, especially in snow, both on and off road, living in the mountains of ski country as I do. But I'd like to factor in those drawbacks if you'd be so kind as to share them. As for the 35 spare fitting where the Tremor's 33 spare goes, since asking that question I found two videos that confirm the 35 spare will fit in the normal place, snug but it will fit. Bottom line, with that front torsion diff, the Tremor would be an easier decision for me if there was just a larger difference in payload and towing capacity, especially payload, but as it is, I am still undecided, though leaning Tremor. I do wish the interior cabin noise was quieter in both. I had been considering an Audi Q8 or SQ8, a sports suv, and with their acoustic laminated windshield and double pane side windows, the quiet rating was around 54/55 if i remember correctly, versus 66/67 for the Tremor and I suspect the Raptor too. I wonder if the Platinum is quieter? But right now, I'd really like to know what those front torsion diff drawbacks are?

My Tremor has 1760 lbs of payload and 10,300 lbs of tow capacity. The Tremor does truck things better. The Raptor is better off-road with wide roads and has a better ride.

Tremor qualifies for ford financing (1.9% rn). Raptor, being ford performance, does not (~4.6%+). Finance that for a couple years then build that into the overall cost of the vehicle

I've been asking all around about this front torsion differential, and the consensus is, apparently confirmed now on the Ford website if you click thru to the 2025 build, that you do get the front torsion diff on the Raptor, 35 package and apparently also the 37 package, but it's the Raptor R with the much more powerful engine that you lose the front torsion diff. This is a great vid, but you might want to confirm this point and add a comment as to what you find. It's a big issue for me. I have significantly less interest in a Raptor without the front torsion diff. I lean Tremor or Raptor based on this issue. I also think I need to educate myself more on the difference b/t the locked versus open front diff that you reference, pro's and con's, etc...
@CTECH-REVIEWАй бұрын
Torsion diff has been gone from all Raptor since 2023...ford Kept it quiet. I will make a follow up video to this topic though! I have had both open and Torsion front diff...I will make a video to talk about this...for me...I want open because of how I use my truck in the winter long towing on the highway in 4x4 sucks with Torsion diff up front.
@Nate-zy5ceАй бұрын
@@CTECH-REVIEW Thanks. I clearly have a lot to learn on this issue. I went to the Ford website and thought I saw it referenced in the 2025 Raptor build section, and someone else said that too, but now you've bot me thinking that it may be a question of wording that I might have misunderstood. I will keep an eye out for your vid discussing this issue. I don't anticipate any heavy towing or long distance towing, and even if I did it would be very rare. I am most concerned about handling all kinds of bad weather, especially bad snowstorms, on and off road, but especially on road, locals and highways during the worst storms and in their mixed aftermath, as well as just maximum or at least reasonable versatility.flexibility. And still having a smooth long distance highway drive, I really want max luxury on the inside. There may be some payload capacity concerns, but even that would not be a frequent thing, and would likely not involve extreme weights. They both look like great trucks. If I got the Tremor, I might well have some after market mods done, primarily to increase tire size to 35's, and maybe a few inches of extra level/lift to facilitate no rubbing. I might also then add a tad more poke. But my purchase likely won't be till late 2025, so I'm in education mode now.
