The drummer on Appetite for Destruction and the Spaghetti Incident was their best drummer that they ever had even though they had to fire him over being an alcoholic

Steven Adler was the drummer on Appetite for Destruction but he was fired in 1990 when his drug addiction got out of control and replaced by Matt Sorum who played on Use your Illusion 1&2, and the Spaghetti Incident

@@tonycampbell4982 thank you for your opinion, but you’re contradicting yourself. You said the drummer on the Spaghetti Incident was their best drummer but the drummer on Use your Illusion albums was average, Matt Sorum played on these albums. And yes I know Steven Adler played on their second album,GnR Lies. I’ve been a huge GnR fan since 1987

You guys have no idea what it was like when this song came out in '87. It was INSANE. It played everywhere. MTV had it on hourly rotation -- back when MTV was cool and actually played music videos. Every car that drove by was bumping it. It was a massive, massive hit. I miss the 80s.

Thank you!! I think thos is the first reaction I've seen where Axl's background is heard. (Around the 16:30 mark.) I've seen so many videos that didn't include it, and thought it was a Mandela Effect. You two are one of my favorite channels. My phone is giving me problems; wish I could say more.🥰

The true testament of the music of the 80s (give or take a few years outside on either end) is that FORTY YEARS LATER the music is still HOT. It’s still enjoyable and meaningful and moving and memorable. It makes people FEEL, and it makes people WISH they could have experienced it as it happened. Those of us lucky enough to actually live in that era, as children, as teens, as adults, we grew up in a world where anything was - or seemed - possible. LIFE WAS GOOD, for the most part. Most people would say that they’d go back there in a heartbeat. I know that I would; a much simpler kind of life… certainly not devoid of its own issues or complications, but a simpler, and more kind, kind of life. I miss those days.

The video edit shortened the intro, which doesn't make sense. "November Rain" is a million years long (as well as "Estranged"), so they could have given us a proper version of this by now. But it _is_ GN'R, so a full-length video will likely only be available after the apocalypse. For Axl's vocal shenanigans, "Locomotive" is a good track - you need to wait 'til the end though, where his vocals are all layered. Also, "Sweet Child..." is about Axl's ex-wife Erin Everly, who makes a longer, uh, appearance in the "It's So Easy" video.

I watch a lot of youtube videos at 2x speed. I'm finding that all the old songs i know turn into speed metal dance track bangers played this fast. Rewatch this at 2x speed and tell me your take. Do every song you've even known at 2x and the BPM goes way up and I'm flying through projects around the house and I still know all the lyrics.
