Immigrants from all countries back in the old days were proud to become American. Italian, Irish, German, French, etc. kept their heritage, but became fiercely American. My grandparents came to the U.S from Italy in the early 1900s, yet their son (my dad) fought in WWII against Germany and Italy. There was never a question that dad was fighting against his homeland as America became our family home. FWIW, dad had 5 battle stars with the Third Armored and won a Bronze Star for action in the Ardennes during the Bulge.

Dave gave an 8.2 for a place in New Jersey. I waited in line for 2 hours and found that it pretty basic flavor wise. For me a good pizza even smells great and you just can't get enough of it and it's almost rare to find.

I am a New Haven native. I have eaten Pepe's, Sally's, Modern, Grand and countless others my entire life. I eat pizza 2x a week minimum. There is NO WAY on this planet that in comparison to some of the other places in the New Haven area that Dave has rated an 8.5 that Grand gets an 8.2. Dave may be a PIZZA connoisseur, but no way has he eaten more APIZZA than I have and I am telling you that on their worst day Grand is an 8.8. There were times I have eaten Grand's apizza and it has literally dropped my jaw. So I gotta believe that this 8.2 is really a 9.2 with a point deducted for the phone call non-sense. It is the only way this 8.2 makes ANY sense at all. 9.2 puts Grand on par with Sally's and above Pepe's and Modern and THAT is ON POINT.
