he was pronouncing it better when they were teaching him in New Haven, hes just not good with words or numbers. he frequently totally destroys company names by adding, altering or omitting entire chunks of the word while hes actually reading right off the sign on the storefront lol, and is always forgetting what score he gave and what score his guest gave. oh well, the dudes entertaining and is making bank.

Here's a hint: Zuppardi's pizza is also available frozen in certain small grocery stores in CT. This isn't just frozen pizza they buy and put their name on, it's the same pizza you see here that's frozen. My brother love it (haven't tried it). Put it in the oven (convection best) and enjoy. Do not put ANY pizza in a microwave!!

Update: tried it. Fabulous!!! I heated the frozen Zuppardis in a convection toaster oven and it's wonderful. No joke.

I'm a Pepe's and Sally's guy personally, but I'll say this: I've never loved the clam pie because the clams are always over cooked and tough, but I go to Zuppardi's just for the clam pie. Not only is it the best clam pie in the New Haven area, it's the only one I'd ever eat.

I’m originally from west haven and zuppardis is absolutely amazing. Apizza is the best pizza you can have and I’ve never met anyone that didn’t like it. I grew up on Zupps bc it was so close to my house. It’s addicting. New haven/west haven has the best pizza in the country. I’ve had New York style and it’s really good but still not as good as Apizza. That Chicago deep dish style is overrated. Zupps, Pepe’s and Sallys and you can throw modern in there as well as the best pizza places in the country.

it's like a 7.5-8, he's being nice because they're nice and he doesn't want to dis them with a significantly lower review than Sallys, Pepe's, Modern. But he knows whats up. He has good taste. Sally's #1.

I was there last week. I gave the Sausage Pizza an 8.6. Exactly what he gave it. His reviews are legit. Also, Sally's is the best in that area. Exactly how he reviewed it. 9.2. Compared to Zuppardi's Cheese which an 8.2. Whole point lower. Which is accurate. Zuppardi's is good. But it's not coal fired bricks ovens. Like Sally's.

I was there last week and rated the Sausage Pizza an 8.6, check the app. Pres is dead-on with his reviews! Sally's is my favorite. 9.2 as well. Salerno's in Stratford, CT has the best Sausage Pizza though. I gave it a 9.1. Review that.

I'm like Dave, Sally's #1, but we head often to Zuppardi's for 2 reasons: #2, the sausage pizza, the sausage is handmade in the store. And #1 reason: the Zuppardi fresh-shucked white pizza is the best pizza I've ever had. Order it with pecorino, not mozzarella. It's also market-rate so be prepared for $45 for a large, you see them shucking the clams right in the open kitchen.

I just went to the place today. It's ok, but nothing that will make me go up there, out of my way to get again. Compared to the big boys in the area, they sit between 1st tier and 2nd tier. They are slacking on the topping amounts. If there nothing else around (which there did not seem to be), then this is hreat where it is, but when strong comp is around, this dips down to 2nd rate.

Zuppardi's is easily my favorite pizza.. order early if it's dinner time though because the difference in pickup wait can go from 25 minutes to an hour and 15 minutes in a matter of 5 minutes.. they're also not great at estimating how long it's going to take. I've been told 25-30 minutes and more than once I've waited 30-40 minutes over the time I was told over the phone. That's why I only go occasionally. Still definitely a 9+ pizza.
