This slipped in under the radar! I follow your channel but didn’t see when this dropped and just searched for the story to and by golly you’ve done it! One of my all time favorites!

Thank you for putting this out there. It's an excellent narration of a story that has stuck with me since I first read in Middle School decades ago. I always identified with Bartleby, and have come to realize it's because of similar autistic traits (hyper-focused periods followed by autistic burnout, difficulty with eye contact, an emphasis on routine, et al.) although mine are far less pronounced than his. Listening to this again was extremely gratifying to me and I am struck by Mellville's great empathy as well as attention to detail.
