This is the best way to handle mass production suits. A base frame and a whole lot of options. It allows pilots to customize their units to their own styles, while not making massive changes to the base unit.

you can see how useful this is in weapons irl by looking at what has been done with the ar-15 platform it can be customized for any need at a moments notice and practically all tactical weapons in its class have moved in a similar direction due to how useful it is

So weird from being a massed produced mobile suit where if you blinked, you missed that it existed with all of the Titan's elite pilots using anything but a Barzam to becoming the missing link to the Jegan. Always felt like the Barzam got done dirty and now I'm like wait... What? What is happening!?

Same. The Barzam has always been kind of a cute awkward little suit to me so to suddenly think of it as some kind of insane Frankenstein-able monstrosity that could eventually become so Hazel'd that it needs to paint its nails red to fit in... it's just super weird and random.

This is insane, lol. Also, slight nitpick but the Gabthley's rifle is not Feyadeen, it's Fedayeen; Fedayeen is an Arabic term meaning "self-sacrificer" or "those who sacrifice." I believe Sayyad/Sayaad means "hunter," so it's definitely a meaningful change from the Fedayeen Rifle's naming convention.

I've seen those missile launchers before... I hope you see this but if not it's fine. The two missile launchers are mounted on the (GM Sniper ML) and the YHI 6ML-79MM Missile Launcher. There's also a figure form of this in the Robot Spirits (EFSF Weapon Set) where you'll find four of those 2 missile launchers of the Barzam.

Nice could the missle pods be based on or off the Ground GM, and Ground Gundams Missile Launcher. The YHI 6ML-79MM Missile Launcher as seen in 8th MS Team? As you said used mostly as anti-ship, and we saw Karen use the Missile Launcher to attack a base, now yes both are not the same. But both are large targets, and have good defence.
