Still funny to me we got a full-fledged Aqua Hambrabi II with the drum frame core and so on whereas the regular Hrududu II release pretty much requires grabbing bits from a TR-6 to have the independent fighter unit. Still, it's nice it has a kit. God high hopes they'll keep going with more and more AoZ kits for years to come.

@@mj2005gundam TR-6 mold is definitely far from perfect but there's still a bunch of kits based on it I'd like to see. It will kinda suck if they're fragile, but I'd rather work on fixing that up than work on making it from scratch. But yeah looking forward to Gaplant too. The HG is a perfectly fine kit and it looks like they improved it some more so it should make for a nice basis for a good few releases.

@@borgar1765 I mean, the TR-6 Kehaar II is free from those issues because they've given it a new torso joint for solidity's sake, and the TR-6 Hyzenthlay II mold is quite solid. So if it's based on the latter, I'm fine with it

I think you're being too harsh on the Woundwort side of the review. Gunpla & plamo builders who've stuck around this long would probably have the patience to deal with finicky builds and parts. Especially with the more interesting Titans releases being Pbandai. And at least, it doesn't have bags of extra parts like other Pbandai Titans releases xD

Tbf he’s also judging it with a general consumer’s standards in mind. The cluster-phobic-ness of a lot of AoZ kits comes with the design rather than being strictly the kit’s fault, so most AoZ fans will have a really different expectations. As long as it looks close enough to the line art then it’s a good enough release for most of the people getting it. The kits approach to a central drum frame attaching different modules is also very lore-accurate, as well as the many parts with accurate layered bellow-like frame molding, so the general consensus from AoZ fans towards this kit is actually very positive.

@@damiannguyen9195 That's my point tho. Those looking for this kit likely aren't just starting out with the hobby, or are already interested in AoZ. After all, the strange over-the-top designs--even by gundam standards are what draw people to something niche like AoZ in the first place. So, I think telling people to avoid it with the Woundwort is rather overcautious.

I can't, in good conscience, recommend that people get the set for the Aqua Woundwort because of the experience I went through. The Woundwort has already had issues with weight in the past with the Composite Shield Booster and Hrududu II binders, and to add so much stuff onto it that further worsens its issues while crippling the functionality is a big issue. But then you're paying 2800 yen + 1800 to 2400 yen for a complete mess of a kit, and at that point, you might as well invest that money in another better kit.

This is the first kit I've seen that has complex modulation modes. More like a complex version of striker packs in AoZ world.

i just display my aqua barzam without the harpoons and phallic subarm/tail because they take too much of space around the model, plus the harpoon gun's long stock is cumbersome as shit. depending on how u position the torpedo shields the barzam can be balanced quite well

At least the Aqua Barzam is just a bit finicky, without being as frustrating to pose as the Aqua Woundwort. Though space is definitely an issue because of how far it pokes up and back

You are able to attach the binders onto the TR-6 Hyzenthlay II with the provided adapters like you would the Hrududu II. To make the official Aqua Hyzenthlay however, it will require a lot of mods and sets

I'm really curious to see how this kit would look attached to the hazenthley ii rah. Since that kit is massive behemoth, I think it could handle the weight of the hambrabii fairly well.

There is a form known as the Aqua Hyzenthlay, which is insane since it is multiple of those composite pods and underwater shield boosters stacked onto the crotch, equipped with 2 Bahr Rifles. The weight however depends on the crotch arm in that case. Though if you were to equip them normally as you would the Hrududu II, then it should be fine, if not a bit wobbly because weight

So effectively this is a decent part upgrade for one mobile suit but for the other it's not worth it. I had a feeling that it was gonna be good for 1 mobile suit and not good for the other one due to how most of the parts work and the stability being an issue. But at least you'll get a cool threatening upgraded mobile suit for one of them if you have that 1.

Based on a quick read, the Hambrabi's MA mode was developed from the Hrududu prototypes, and the Hambrabi II was a result of the data of the MA modes from the Hrududu prototypes and Hambrabi. The Aqua Hambrabi II is simply the Hambrabi II equipped with Aqua G-Parts for underwater use and support

i really dont understand why bandai hasnt improved the core parts for these kits. For a line that is entirely meant to be modular, why the fuck are they still using the base joints and core of hazel from 2005 and woundwort from 2018?

Especially when the Kehaar II has solved the structural issues the TR-6 has given that it's a top-heavy design. It uses a T-bar in the torso instead of movable shoulders and stuff. I'd give up articulation for massively improved stability if I could, but I don't have another one of those bars

It doesn't transform and dock, it's actually assembled onto the unit before deployment, the whole reason why changing forms is that tedious to begin with.
