Hi, I made Basbousa following your recipe. I can't find orange blossom water in my country, so had to omit it. Anyway it turned out great. Easy to make recipe. My family and friends loved it. it was over in two days. Thank you

thanks for the recipe. I am new to barbousa. we use semolina a lot in our country to make breakfast and sweets like 'laddu'. I m going to make this now. looks delicious. can I use normal whole semolina without ground. thanks

Thank you dear you mean the sugar syrup recipe slice of fresh lemon two cups of sugar one cup of water stir them together on medium heat until it begins to boil then lower the heat and keep it for five min then let cool down hen pour it over the Basbousa Thanks for watching dear

well it will not as you will be adding the syrup after the baking, but it's up to you can taste it and add the syrup accordingly :-) thank you for watching

@@PinkThinkvideotv I added sugar and water in 1:1 ratio and it was perfect. Thanks for the recipe. If we add coconut do we have to add more condensed milk or sugar? Or if we multiply the amount of syrup that would be enough to balance the taste?

you are most welcome no if you want to add coconut just add about 1/4 cup not more so you will not need to add anything just keep the recipe as it is.

thanks for watching if you do not have an oven you can do it on the stove with low heat until it downside is cooked well but you will not have the top crunchy light brown color. thanks

Jst one thing I want to know that, basbousa was little hard ..and when I add sugar syrup in basbousa its become more hard..and the taste was like sugar syrup is noot cooked yet..before adding the sugar syrup it was awesome. But littte hard..not soft..why is this happened?

first of all you have to follow all the steps on the video and when you add all ingredients whisk it well then you can leave it for about 30 minutes ,then you bake it but let it be light brown and not dark then make the sugar syrup then pour it over the semolina when its hot i has to swallow all the sugar syrup . (the way that i do my sugar syrup 400g of sugar 200g of water two slices of lemon stir well together at high temperature then lower it when it starts to boil for 5 minutes then it will be ready to use .
