Earthtone Max Jelly has a tendency to crust and flake with me as well I used it for about 6 months a year or two ago and noticed that behavior as well. I may have to play with the As I Am Jelly a bit when I’m done with my stockpile of Miche Tropical Oasis!

Hi Kayla, I know you didn't ask, but I have an idea for your next base study. ORS Olive Oil has come out with a new product line called Curlshow. Their gel in that line is called Curl Creator. I, and others, have had success with this gel. That would be a great gel to do a base study if you're interested.
