@violetnevermore5457 agree to disagree. what the dodgers did extremely well was expose and exploit the Yankees' weaknesses, including their ability to error. sure, the yankees made errors that enabled the dodgers to score/win, but it takes a great team to actually act on the errors and make them work to the team's advantage. but nice way to diminish the dodgers win ;o) you ask how so? I give two answers. One is because of the aforementioned bad defense exploitation. The second answer is because as a lifelong Dodger fan I've seen them teach this same scenario before and they don't show up when they needed to. But they finally did this time. One person's mediocre is another person's lifelong epic memory

@@violetnevermore5457 as adodger fan, i don't think its "worst meltdown in history"..thats giving the yankee's too much credit...it was game 5, not game 7..it wasn't do or die for the dodger's...they didn't need to win the game, they were in command of the series still but what the dodger's do good is put the other team under pressure, applying pressure causes mistake and the dodger's are just better..the yankee's are all slug and no athletiscism...slow on the basebpads, mediocre fielding...and by the way, cole and rizzo weren't getting mookie out, they're both too big and slow, cole was in there a long time and running out of energy...also the play with kike going to 3rd, not an easy play and volpe might of gotten him sometimes but the angle was weird and not likely they get the runner at 3rd...the only real error was judge dropping the ball...the dodger's still had to put an inning together and the yankee's had a chance to win, it was the 5th inning not the 9th...so the dodger's beat everyone...padre's, mets, yankee's...the pitched 5 shutouts a record in october, they scored more runs in history than any other team, playd good defesne, ran the bases well, came thru in the clutch...they were the best team and the yankee's weren't the 2nd best team in baseball...the padres and mets were better.

20:50 I think the Dodgers won because they've been in that situation before: 9th inning, trailing the other team, 2 out, bottom of the order. And on a couple of occasions I've seen them stage a crazy comeback win because they didn't give up and they understood that you never know if you don't try. Granted, that's regular season, but that's the kind of fight you need in the postseason. And I'm sorry to say that I didn't see that kind of fight in this Yankee team, aside from Soto, Chisholm, and Verdugo.

Shortening the season, well this series canceled that out! The Dodgers pitching staff, compared to the Yank's, got decimated! They had BP games in every series they won and the closer was a starter on 2 days rest, Freddie had a bad ankle and a broken rib.... Yankees are all numbers, they seem to lack actual heart. One team wanted it more for sure.

My first team i played for when I was 9 on was the dodgers minor league here in L.A. all black team and one white boy came in first place ran through the league and that was the jus start 😂. I played center field and was the best contact hitter I guaranteed you wasn’t more nice than me 😂. I was Tori hunter in the outfield and Ricky Henderson on base. No one was catching my black ass my coaches always had me stealing bases 😂
