I lost my father when I was 16. I can't help but tear up playing catch with my son. For years he asked me why...until he saw this movie as a teenager. Now he tears up asking me to when we're having our trying times.

The boys are all here for you.” The whole quote ties the movie in perfectly after all the flashbacks of Chapel being a great teammate and in his hay day being one of the best. Guys play better for legends like that. Like Dwayne Wise for Mark Buehrle.

Too much "recency bias" - You've got Bull Durham (1988) quotes, and Field of Dreams (1989) but nothing from The Natural (1984). The success of The Natural PAID FOR Bull Durham. and for Major League, and for Field of Dreams. "I came here to play ball."
