I'm not looking for a deep cleaning product but just a duster type thing. Regular dusting should keep most dirt off and with regular cleaning I would think a deep clean wouldn't be necessary. Swiffers do an excellent job on fans and shelves, so I don't need it for that. I also think you could buy some fleece at the fabric store and make your own replacements. I'm a senior and the longer I can stay in my home the less I'll have to spend on retirement. FYI young folks, buy a ranch with laundry on the first floor. You'll be glad you did when you get older. Thanks for the review. Also I've found that nothing seems to eliminate getting on your knees and doing a good scrub. Hire someone if you must. Carpeting sucks. Tear it out.

I clean houses for a living and this just looks like a swifter sweeper handle with a cheap pad attached. They did put a groove in it to shape to baseboard. I use either vac attachment or swifter duster for dusting baseboards. For deeper clean try eraser sponge. Save some money.

gretchen Kernodle What is an eraser sponge? Is it one of those white Mr. Clean type sponges? I have arthritis and need something that does a good job of deep cleaning without me getting on my hands and knees. I can vacuum my baseboards to get the dust off.

In UK we have gas pipes running along the top of the baseboards! I have a spine problem & wondered about this gadget. Thank you for the review and the comments. I will spray with soapy water then use a soft broom.

Good review! A good quality, lightly dampened microfiber cloth secured to the bottom of a broom works great, especially if you dust or vacuum first, which you should do anyway to avoid a bigger mess. A clean mop barely wet with water and a little vinegar works well on walls (no soap), including flat paint, which is generally what I do once or twice a year after dusting with a fluffy floor dust mop and going around with a Magic Eraser or microfiber cloth to get rid of any scuffs (roughly 15 minutes per floor). I try to dust my baseboards, vents, blinds, fixtures and fans, knicknacks, furniture weekly (at least monthly as a minimum) with a Swiffer 360 or similar to avoid dirt and dust from sticking due to humidity and time. Takes seconds to do baseboards (7 minutes to dust everything per floor here without clutter), and is way, way, way less work by the time you actually clean, coming from someone who hates to clean. Just a quick wipe and your house always looks sparkly, even when you don't.

Decent review. I see a lot of comments about using a rag and soapy water. I think that's a good idea, but who the hell want a to bend over and crawl on their hands and knees? I think it's worth it if you have a bad back.

I found mine at a thrift store for $2.99, minus the pad. I sewed a piece of velcro on a sponge, attached it to the base and use it to scrub my shower floor.

Wetting a broom with soap and water works great to get in the cracks of the baseboard. Or spray the baseboard with soap and water mixture. let sit then take a microfiber towel or rag that is the size of the the bottom of your broom. Cut a hole the size of the handle of your broom. put the handle of the broom through the hole until the towel covers the bottom of the broom. You can put on velcro tabs for a tight fit. It cleans and drys at the same time

I use a swiffer most of the time. IF I need to get heavier duty I sit on the floor with a bucket and cloth. This in theory would combine the two but feels like I just stick with the way I usually do it.

I have an old Electrolux canister vacuum that I can put a brush on (came with the vacuum) that does a great job of getting dusty baseboard molding clean . I still need to find something that I can put a cleaner on and clean stuck on dirt off of them so I don't have to get on my hands and knees to do so. This product doesn't do that good of a job and starts falling apart.

Can you do the new Lizard Cam that fervour hair out of drains, long out of dryers,has a light on end,magnet,etc upgrade I'd you ask on TV call.Too little. Should have made it a bit wider almost like swifter size, but not quite. You walls & baseboard need painting Rug needs baking soda,etc mix or a good cleaning stain removing to make it look new. I think you can find that on here under natural means.

You didnt mention it in your video but does the male / female connector from the stick to the head, is it the same as 90% of every other "off the shelf" broom / mop? can you use a standard broom handle on it or vice versa?
@Freakinreviews7 жыл бұрын
I have a broom with one of those handles, and just tried it. The Baseboard Buddy handle has a slightly smaller diameter, so the broom handle was too big to screw into it. Using a better handle like that would have been a good idea, actually.

Okay folks, I get that some of you are young and pliable but when you're older you want to stay in your home as long as you can. THEN you'll wish you'd bought a ranch or at least as house with one first floor bedroom, bath and laundry room. So devices that make things easier will makes sense then. This device is best for REGULAR dusting. Not deep cleaning. Unless of course you're going to help your parents clean...................yeah I thought so. Go buy them this product so they can do it themselves.

@meg38396 жыл бұрын
Likely, but you can just as well wrap a good, lightly dampened microfiber cloth (prewashed if it's colored) wrapped around the bottom of a standard kitchen broom and secure it with a rubberband or the like. It's plenty wide for larger baseboards and the flexible aspect will get ast the board better vs having to go over everything several times or at several angles. I recommend dry dusting first if is been a while, using a duster with an extension, like the Swiffer 360.

This guy has one issue with his review. His baseboards were not painted. If you noticed there were un patched nail holes and no real finish. If he had painted these baseboards with a nice paint with a good gloss that is easily cleanable, it would have done a better job. Untreated wood isnt the best to clean.

It looks like you need a bucket of water to do a better job. But I can see these pads won't last long. Use a cleaner such as white vinegar . It won't stain or discolor carpet and also will freshen your house at he same time. Is their an order form or website to buy more sponge refills" Looks like a cheap toilet wand to me.
