I agree. These releases are beautiful. I love the tudor hands. Totally unique handset , greater visibility, and sportier style then the Rolex - which is gorgeous and dressier on character. Both winners. Keep up the good job TCG.

This Basel was a win for the small wristed! My personal favorites: Oris Pointer Date 40mm Black Bay 58 Legend Diver 36mm (I’d be willing to guess the bottom two are on your personal list! Lol)

In the case of watches I also think that smaller is better.

Nice to see you back! Figured you'd like the Omega. I'm not a huge fan of the Navi, but we'll see where they go with it. I'm not into the Rolex, but then I don't really like any of their modern sports watches (esp at the money they go for). The Tudor is fine, but since when did a Pepsi bezel take otherwise ordinary watches all the way to heaven? I do like the Longines, tho.

Thanks! I have a soft spot for the original "busy" dial. Normally I like simple, but something about the Navitimer has always spoken to me. I'm with you on the Rolex and the Tudor. These are the big releases in terms of what I think will be the most in demand pieces. My favorite releases are another story altogether. Will be posting a separate video on that.

I haven't seen any other info about the Longines. Was it on display at Basel?

Yes, but it has not made it to any big blogs yet. Only a few instagram pictures have come out so far.

I have seen in Instagram that the Longines Nautilus is 42mm, which I don't understand because I believe the original was 40mm, and the legend diver is already 42mm... Anyway, looking forward to your choices (I bet BB58 has caught your eye)

It sure did, look for it in my upcoming Tudor video! Sadly it got edged out of my favorites video by another small diver I've had my eye on..

"I've seen it ... It existe !!!... it lives at the bottom of the lagoon!!!" :D For me the Rolex Pepsi is exciting, the Tudor Pepsi ... well ... why did they not do something different than a homage? Ok, surely it will sell very well but it lacks originality, a lot.

Tudor was created in the 1950s for sole the purpose of doing homages!

That's right: in the 50's 70 years later, and after creating such special pieces as the Pelagos, the Black Bay, the 36, or the Glamour line, and especially his own calibers, it would be expected that he would devote himself to developing his own inheritance, free from the weight of having to be "the poor man Rolex "

Tudor made Subs into the late-1990s. Then the replacement diver for the Sub in the collection -- the Hydronaut -- was still pretty similar. The Black Bay merged the snowflake hands with the Sub styling, which is what the GMT does. So I don't really see the issue. If you buy into Tudor's heritage as being interesting then this is right in line with their history. The only reason why they have in-house movements is because Swatch group said they would restrict ETA movements from all non-Swatch brands, not because Tudor really wanted to move upscale.
