I’m not sure about this. Show your face or show the watches.

Minuscule for most people’s wrists today, regardless of what people would try to make you believe. Also, that milky crystal ring would drive my OCD crazy.

Good choices. Maybe the Zenith El Primero could have been in there too. The Navitimer is the king of Chronographs though, just as the Submariner is king of Divers 😊

breitling is killing me by not offering this in 38mm WITH the Slide Rule, that's a deal breaker for me. I guess you can buy the Montbrilliant still, but that one just doesn't do it for me.

Nice review of a fantastic reissue! All proper chronograph movement so feature a jumping minute hand in the sub register. The modular ones don’t for example.

Love this watch! Just bought it. Love the classic Moonwatch heritage paired with the slightly dressier/ upscale feel. It's definitely a keeper.

Fantastic video! I just purchased a blue dial 92 (A30022) and appreciated seeing yours. Still looking for some instruction on how to use the Telemetre scale slide rule to calculate distance based on light / sound. Have you figured this out? Thx!!!

I prefer the aesthetics of the Moonwatch, but the First Omega in Space is slimmer and I have a smaller wrist. I'd love to get one, but it's a tough choice.

Nice - you have all the right stuff. Maybe add a JLC or Cartier tank.

Apparently the omission of the 'Carrera' on the dial was Tag made aware that Porsche had exclusive rights to that at the time and weren't keen on any trouble with them .

The speedy looks better on you than the smaller watches do in my opinion. I think you just need to get used to it because maybe you've been wearing small watches your entire life.

This was very helpful for me, the Bergeon is on the way, but a newer version. I was struggling like heck to remove a bracelet today, and in desperation and panic mode, I came across your video. I found an included freebie in my drawer that worked better than the other freebies, it just didn't occur to me that the tools differ.

That’s a lovely Professional you have there and a great watch with which to compare the FOiS, which commemorates another important milestone for these moon- and space-related Speedmasters. I didn’t like the standard leather strap as supplied on the FOiS, so would go with the recent reissue of the old S/S mesh JB Champion/Forster Komfit, which I think gives the whole a very nice, early aesthetic. The original was NASA-approved for space flight too. Your review was also very well presented and easy on the ear, so I’ve hit all the appropriate buttons. Thanks.

I found your comments very informative. I have been wearing my Navitimer on a daily basis since purchasing it in 1966, following your mention about the radioactive material used on the face I did a quick check and I have not grown a second head as far as I can see, I am now 75 do you think I should be taking any precautions ?

That Omega you refer to is caliber 2500, a deep modification of 2892-2. But Omega since several years ago produces the 8500 and 9300 series, which are not a modification of another caliber.

I like to wear slightly undersized natos on watches with 20 or 22mm lug widths. So an 18mm strap on a 20mm or a 20mm on a 22mm lug. have a 6.5” wrist. I feel the narrower strap makes the watch look like it fits better. People don’t like that Connery “Bond fit” but I like it.

Really nice collection, good size for a collection with a mix of Chrono's and Time only watches. No bracelets or divers in the Lot, kinda reminds me of my own collection with mine being a bit larger and a few divers added. I do love Chronographs

Good insight, appreciate the information. Hmmh🤔..same engine, different coach-work! Histories aside, the FOIS has the correct aesthetic, fit and finish - not to mention complements contents of my wardrobe by offering sartorial congruence ... matches collar and cuff-links! Take a pick, both work best with straps, the bracelets naff, unless you opt for the new 3861 variant bracelet on sapphire option - that's hot!

Yes a $5000 watch is worth $5000 even if the movement only cost $500 because watches aren’t just about the movements.
@bdegrds3 жыл бұрын
Movement is the most important part of a watch. It being shiny is not. That is a fact. Same as the bones of a house is far more important than the finishing.
