That is a great looking shop and it is very functional. I like that storage window/door thingy. Thanks for sharing the journey. Going to watch the next episode now, since 2020 and it should be up for viewing.

Nice work! I don’t see a router...it would have come in handy to finish the edges of your workbench. They are super useful and open up a ton of options when building...you should pick one up if you don’t have one.
@Bretts_Builds5 жыл бұрын
lol yeah I have one but I hardly ever use it. It hides in the back. I'd like to come up with a few projects that need it but nothing yet.
@hawkie3335 жыл бұрын
Brett Withjack I can’t remember the proper name, but I put a strip of oak around my workbenches, they absorb a surprising amount of damage. If you use the router to round things out you can eliminate the sharp corners and prevent plywood from chipping out.

Why not put the MDF directly on the rack instead of on the top leaving the gap. I am assuming because you wanted to screw it down to the top of the poles but it seems like it may have been better to cut out the corners and fasten it from the bottom.

Great video as usual, how do you find the evolution saw? I’ve been looking at it for a while compared to the more expensive gear like dewalt. Cheers
@Bretts_Builds5 жыл бұрын
Hey man thanks for watching! I'll be honest, it's a great saw for the budget but once you get one that's much higher quality, you will not regret it. If you're just starting out and only use it once in a while, I would go that route but if you plan on doing a lot of woodworking, go with a Rigid or Dewalt. I purchased a Rigid awhile ago and love it. It's currently stuck in my storage unit since I just moved but once I clean it out I'm going back to using that and just keeping the Evo as the one I take on the road with me or for cutting metal.
