Timeline: 2:50 Bashing and big Jumps 9:26 Breakage.. What broke? 👀 10:56 after the run

First I must say that your content is very enjoyable to watch. A hobbyist demonstrating their skill in real world applications. As well as including 20+ jumps where the goal is to preserve the vehicle and not destroy it in 3-5 4 story jumps because it was free like most others. I've been eyeballing this truggy for some time and like you expressed it has weak points. I was kind of shying away because spare parts seem to be hard to come by. However, you made me realize that other brands parts will fit. Guess I'll go down that parts match rabbit hole. Thanks man
@ianbudgetrc25742 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for appreciating what I do, bro 😊. There were times when I questioned myself why I bought this truggy because it would break almost after each run. Then it just taught me how to be resourceful, creative, and careful. As for the parts availability, there should be no problem because they're all found on Banggood and Aliexpress. It's the looking for upgrades from other brands that is hard to do..

Put the proline body mounts on mine with threaded knobs works great.👍

Hey Ian awesome show perfect timing as I wanted to see how this does after putting on those TA arms being cross brand as only engineers see this route🤔 but at 0:37 seconds I think your motor pinion does not look straight to the spur from here if you see what I mean it looks like the pinion may have a slight angle to it
@ianbudgetrc25743 жыл бұрын
Thanks Bro PX. Yes you're correct. the pinion is not perfectly aligned to the spur because the motor bracket moves in the motor mount. It's too loose and worn out. So I just put a support under the motor to keep it fixed, giving a bit of angle. Anyway I am converting this RC to brushed power, so I will need to remove the original motor bracket and put on a customised one for the brushed motor. 😁 Cheers!

2:04 Ian maybe look into the Arrma exb servo spring as it’s meant to be the upgrade for stock spring on non exb’d rigs and see if it fits as not to have your saver wound all the way down 🤔💥🎯 5:06 try and put them in the other way around 😎 so your pushing them in from the rear and not the front 🤩🤨 or see if you can turn the actual post 90 degrees so now you’d be putting them in like on a kraton shell🎸

Brilliant idea bro. I never thought of that. Thank you. I will see if I can next time. 😁 Saves my finger from pain winding it down 😆

the problem with jumping with this car is that it bends the chassis. I have reinforced it! You can see the video on my channel and for now it works!
@ianbudgetrc25743 жыл бұрын
Thanks brother. I will have a look at your vids. But in this case, it's only light basging. It didn't bend the chassis at all.

@@ianbudgetrc2574 I doubled it in the skatepark jumping high and falling on concrete. I hope it will help you in the future, I have also learned a lot with your videos, especially with the upper arms, although I have not broken any of them yet.

Hey bro good video nice to see you jump that many times and no breakage but why are your tires wobble so much have you found out why it do that
@ianbudgetrc25743 жыл бұрын
Thank you brother. Wobbling wheel joints is part of wear and tear. It's been with me for 2 years and i have not replaced the bearings yet. And the joints are originally loose. So it gets worse over time. I need to rebuild each suspension 😁. Well, it still runs, though. So bash it 😅

Bashing is expensive, I can't do that to my cars, but I do enjoy others doing it. Cheers M8.

Thanks so much mate. It also took me long practice with my Arrma Kraton EXB before I learned how to jump RC cars. And I applied it on the ZD Racing.

I agree.. I would never bash any of my buggies or my truggy ..skill is in driving..

@ianbudgetrc25743 жыл бұрын
@@manofmanythingz4812 I somehow agree brother. But there are different types of skills. We can't just declare one as the best and disregard the other. Onroad RC gt racers are very skilled but they can't be compared to the offroad buggy racers where it requires a totally different skill set because the offroad ones require precise jumping and landing along with proper cornering on loose dirt. Whereas the onroad racing only requires cornering and throttling, but sure one needs to be highly skilled to do it. The same could be said for hardcore bashers like Rich Duperbash and RCdude81. They have their own exceptional skills in sending and controlling their rc bashers midair and during the landing.

Hey brother what's up I have the zd racing 9021 and I ordered the rear horizontal drive shafts and they came in mail and there a little bit longer than the stock And won't work I don't know what to think but maybe u know what to do
@ianbudgetrc25743 жыл бұрын
Oh bro that's mad. The 9021 has the widest arm span among all the zd 1/8 scale models. That means that if the rear wheel dogbones are too long for the 9021, they are defective. There could be some errors in the machining of those. They should fit well into the rear diff cups and wheel hubs. Just message the seller regarding it and file a dispute.. Is that from aliexpress or amazon?

I don't know why your truck has plastic spurgears and I have metal..I changed my arms -Hub -Drive CVDs everything to TEKNO 48 2.0..looks Great ..My Batteries Teee 7000mah 100c will be here Monday..
@ianbudgetrc25743 жыл бұрын
Originally it had metal 46t spur but I changed to 48t plastic spur gear. It's because I want the plastic gear to be the weakest link. It would wear out and break first before the rest of the gears would. Plastic spur is easy to replace as well. Btw, great mod from tekno! But theyre a bit expensive all together. This one's enough for me for now.
