Find out the closing stock of inventory if the gross profit margin is 25% on cost. Solution : Computation of closing stock Gross profit = 25% on cost = 20% on sales = 20% × ₹4,00,000 = ₹80,000 Cost of goods sold = Sales - Gross Profit = 4,00,000 - 80,000 = ₹3,20,000 Closing stock = Opening stock + Purchases - Cost of goods sold = 50,000 + 3,25,000 - 3,20,000 = ₹ 55,000. 2. Opening Stock Rs. 1,00,000, Sales Rs. 5,00,000, Gross profit @ 25% on cost, Purchase Rs. 6,00,000. Closing Stock is ___ Closing stock = (Opening stock + purchases + gross profit) - sales = (1,00,000 + 6,00,000 + 1,00,000)- 5,00,000 = 8,20,000 - 5,00,000 = 3,00,000 Working note:- Calculation of gross profit (Gross profit is 25% of cost because we don't have cost we will calculate it with the help of sales) If cost is 100 gross profit is 25% of cost then sale will be Gross profit + cost Hence 100 +25 = 125 therefore, gross profit = 25/125 x 5,00,000 = 1,00,000 3. If gross profit ratio is 33.33% sales, it is ____________% on cost. Assume Sale = 300 and Gross profit = 33.33% on sales = 100 Cost + Gross profit = Sales Cost + 100 = 300 Cost = 200 Now, Gross profit % on Cost = Gross Profit x 100 Cost = [100/200 ] x 100 = 50%.

Discount on creditors അതിൽ ഉറപ്പായും വരില്ല..ക്യാഷ് അങ്ങോട്ട്‌ കൊടുക്കാനുള്ളതിൽ കുറവ് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കരുത്..കിട്ടാനുള്ള നേട്ടം പരിഗണിക്കരുത്.Discount on debtors വരാം..അത് ഓപ്ഷനിൽ പറയുന്നുമില്ല. Bad debt കിട്ടില്ല എന്ന് ഉറപ്പായതാണ്.. അത് എഴുതി തള്ളണം.. അതും conservatism principle അനുസരിച്ചു എന്ന് പറയാൻ പറ്റില്ല. Providing depreciation നും ഈ principle അനുസരിച്ചല്ല.. ശരിക്കും ഉള്ള expense ആയി തന്നെ കരുതാം.. പിന്നെ provision for doubtful debts... Debtorsil നിന്നും കിട്ടാൻ സാധ്യത ഇല്ലാത്ത പണം.. അത് മുൻ കൂട്ടി കാണണം.. സംഭവിക്കാൻ സാധ്യതയുള്ള നഷ്ടം ആണ്.. അപ്പോൾ answer അത് തന്നെ..
