I think Prince (God rest his funky soul) loved Mayte with emphasis on the ed. He didn't want to see her for twenty years before he died and she was banned from Paisley Park. On the other hand, he remembers Denise Mathews before his death. I agree with Kandi Kane Denise and Prince were soul mates reunited in heaven now. I do think Mayte holds a special place in Prince's heart because they had a son (R.I.P.) together. I think Denise and Prince were cosmically connected.

There's a reason Prince passed 2 months after Vanity he was heartbroken and devastated... he became depressed, Morris Day tweeted " Prince you're at peace now with your love Denise".... he was on tour when she died everyone said though he played he dedicated it to her....he cried and begged God to bring her back, the night before her funeral him and her cousin went so he could be alone with her.... Prince loved many women but Denise was his true love beside his music.

Prince loved Mayte and he respected her. I think the poor baby's syndrome was more than both of them could bear. They each had to grieve in their own way and it drove a wedge between them. Had their son been blessed without anomalies, I think they would have stayed together and raised a fine young man. They were beautiful together, they inspired each other.

I am Thrilled that Mayte moved forward with her life...she has Gia (her baby girl), her dance studio classes, her passion with animal rescue & charity foundations; she is a busy lady these days. I think she floundered for a while after The divorce from Prince, but who could blame her. Her heart was shattered-so many losses. She has stability now with her friends and family. Mayte has come into her own, she is living life on her own terms with passion and purpose. I am so proud of the woman she is becoming. Her love and respect for Prince is deeply embedded in her heart, she will always love that man, but she has moved on and is now stepping into her own destiny; her own path. Mayte was a good wife, I will always believe that. She is an amazing mother to Gia, with a beautiful loving heart. #beautifulsoul.

A beautiful couple and they complimented each other so well. Even Oprah stated how far gone in love P was. I think there were many influences that tore them apart and the catalyst was Amir’s passing. I also believe that Larry Graham riding in preaching his JW beliefs and that religion choice made by P and not as a couple was a factor and why Manuela won her way in. I also often wonder if Mayte’s mother was a strain on their relationship. I also think that Mayte’s age did not equip her to deal with some things. If you look at the way P looked, wrapped his arm around and held hands with Mayte vs Manuela, it’s noticeably different. It’s more loving with Mayte. In my opinion, Mayte’s beauty way surpassed Manuela’s. Manuela is nothing out of the ordinary. Mayte exuded sexuality in an innocent way, along I noticed long ago that both wives were small chested, so guess P didn’t have a preference. Appears that Mayte has since had a breast enhancement. I do believe the fact that Mayte has never remarried or had a long term relationship since is telling. How does anyone follow P and he was her first. That’s powerful💕 P was strong will and I think that if he wanted to reconcile, he would have reached out but who knows if that could have come. I often wonder what his feelings were when he heard that Mayte had adopted Gia. I was watching P’s 3rd eyed girl drummer and her husband’s KZbin channel and they spoke about how excited P was for them expecting and called him Uncle P. Yes they've openly said they believe they were together in another life. The whole introduction to her coming into the band.. he had her as an Egyptian Princess.. they did the movie "3 chains O Gold" with her as an Egyptian Princess and carried that on thru his shows. In that picture is the performance for the song "7". She opened the song to a belly dance with a sword on her head routine and then into the song 7... Shes been belly dancing since she was 6. Tapes of her dancing were given to Prince in Germany and that's how they met. She went to the same school In Germany that Priscilla Presley did when she met Elvis. I saw your reply Jennifer a few moments ago to my comment...and I totally agree with you about Larry Graham....he was the devil's advocate in Prince's life leading him off into a completely different mind set and thought process which turned his beautiful feelings towards Mayte to disfavor and fear of going forward with her. They could have stuck together closer after their loss of Amir and the second pregnancy...they could've gone to the best doctors to prepare them to conceive in the future. Such losses like that should cause a couple in love to fight for a better future. Children is exactly what Prince and Mayte needed between them …..they were a beautiful couple....she may have been too young and inexperienced to win him over from his fears about their future together. Prince was persuaded too easily by Larry Graham interfering into his life and spiritual understandings. Prince just went off the deep end too fast in my opinion. I often wonder if Prince would've eventually had children with Manuela after he sort of passed the time to see their marriage flourish and to gain his confidence to try again to conceive ? I don't know much about their marriage except that Eric Benet stepped in at the first opportunity.

@@jenniferrichardson751 thank you for this beautiful video. I think it was more than just Larry that parted them. I think it was a lot of things. She was very young for starters. I think tbh them working together was both a beautiful thing but ended up being not so great after a while. I do think they absolutely loved each other. But i think the MAIN thing was them losing Amiir. Their grief took them in different ways. Losing a child is something that will make or break a relationship. I think they had different ways of handling the heartbreak. I think Prince believed fully in fate and after things started happening between them, such as after her 2nd miscarriage, he started to feel as if maybe they weren't meant to be after all. And then of course, Larry came into the picture and Prince became more heavily involved in religion. And then...the rest is history. It is sad, but as they say...everything has a season. It's sad that he had to go so soon. But I think he was satisfied with what he'd done in this life. He'd said so to his sister. He gave all of us many gifts and they still continue today.💗

I truly believe he really loved her, but they fell apart, it had nothing to do with religion or anything, they fell apart. For him to lose his son, babies in miscarriage must have been very painful for him, and her. I wouldn't want that to see that happen to anyone. I was never a die hard Prince fan, but did like his music, what I gathered from her book is that he was a control freak and had to control every part of their relationship, she was young and in love and wanted to please him, I believe he did love her, but like others have said the death of their son and the miscarriage probably made him think she was not "the one", that along with his new found religion that Mayte did not embrace and his friendship with Larry Graham all led to the marriage failing, to be honest I don't think Prince would have been happy for too long with any one woman, as far as MT, I don't think he loved her, she was a JW and that was what he was looking for at the moment. I read somewhere that he did not want to have children with her.

I just got her book, so I haven't gotten into her relationship with him yet. I think she is an excellent belly dancer, but no man could ever make me dance almost naked on any stage for his career, and perform sexually suggestive moves. I understand she HAD to take orders from him, but I would have said no and good bye. I have more self respect for myself than I do for any man.

A lot of people have so much hate for Mayte. Like it's her fault he loved her. But I am a fan of his and I respect him and his choices, and he chose Mayte. I think they were really in love, but their marriage couldn't survive the trauma of their baby's death. Lots of couples that go through that kind of tragedy don't make it. It's devastating. I read Mayte's book, and she didn't say anything negative about him. She didn't ask for anything in their divorce (while his second wife wanted $40,000/month!). I do think Larry Graham had a lot to do with the divorce. He told Prince that the baby died because Mayte wasn't JW and that's why Prince sent her to Spain and moved the 2nd wife into their home. Mayte did say that she forgave Manuella later. Mayte always had a smile for everyone and was kind to the fans. I don't understand why some people troll her so much. These photos are very touching. Especially the one of her in the dress with the word "Baby" on it and the arrow pointing down to her tummy. That was such a happy time for them. Heartbreaking how it ended.

❣️He truly Loved her & she him. He was in so much pain about their baby, Prince just wasn't strong enough to stand all the pain he was in. Then he was alone once again. He wanted to hurt anyone he could & alot of his hurt over their baby went to her. So very sad... He was in so much pain, he didn't care about anything after that. He couldn't STOP the pain, but he finally did by what he did. There was no accent , he knew exactly what he was doing, he placed himself in his own elevator on purpose because, of the song he wrote. Think about it, he knew how Strong that drug was & by then he didn't care. He was not in his right mind, not strong enough for all the pain. He was in more pain, not just Physical, he wasn't able to take. Life is so very, hard & Sad , At time's, even, to go on living it..... One minute, your alright, then you just can't take anymore. And the drug takes over your mind, & it makes you feel better, but worse, if you know what I mean. BELIEVE ME, do you think as smart as he was, he didn't know what he was doing? Huh? And Prince’s world was so far removed from anything that could be considered even remotely normal. For all his genius he could also be unbelievably cold and cruel, and just discarded women who were no longer of any use to him like they were yesterday’s rubbish. None of them came out of their time with Prince healthy. But I feel for Mayte the most, because she had all the additional pain of losing a child, and a pregnancy that was and wasn’t. And that wicked Oprah interview. That the poor girl is even remotely sane after all that is a credit to her. Unless and until you have walked a mile in another person’s shoes, don’t judge. I just feel a great deal of compassion for her, and she deserves a little respect.

❤Prince was involved with Nona at the same time, not only Mayte as she tries to portray. He only married her because she was pregnant. Nona said he didn't tell her directly & that she found out when Mayte came flashing her engagement ring. Prince was known to overlap his relationships but he made it clear & women agreed to it so I don't fault anyone. They knew the terms upfront. Mayte has told so many lies since his death it's sad. I believe he was happy for a time. It's been said Mayte cheated then he got involved with Manuela & Mayte wanted to try to save their marriage but Prince was done. Manuela even apologized years later to Mayte for not stepping back (saw it myself on tv) & now they're friends. Prince even dated Sheila & Susannah at the same time (also heard it from Sheila) who said she didn't know because she lives in LA & Susannah in Minneapolis so he kept it hidden awhile. She was too young to know exactly what was going on, but she had an idea.
