I wasted 2 nights casting on and ripping out trying to figure out what I was doing wrong...until I found your video.💡Short and sweet, you had my needles on fire knitting row after row, no problems! Thanks for the great tips, video is well lit, and no I can't tell you are a thrower.

This was explained so well! It's the first time I really understood how the brioche stitch works. And you could have fooled me with your continental knitting, you looked like a pro!

Thank you! Same happened to me, I knit continental style, too but all videos I watched in German or English, never came close to you especially the amazing way you explain how to finish the end rows. I must have tried 20 times at least and my end rows were a mess! Thank you!!!!

Great video. I am a Continental knitter although I learned English first. Much prefer Continental but use both in stranded knitted. I’ve been working on a shawl with a brioch stitch and can’t believe I forgot this technique! I’ve been slipping and then yarning over instead of grabbing the yarn from behind! Thanks for reminding me! Excellent!

I cant thank you enough. I watched 3 other videos and just couldn't get the hang of it because I am a continental knitter through and through. I saw you do this technique ONCE and I got it. Soooooooo easy for my kind of knitting. I really appreciate you going out of your way to do this especially since it is not your typical knitting style (although your execution of the stitch was beautiful and I would never know you were an American Knitter) Again, thank you! -Korri from Sit Sip Knit :)

Thank you so much for explaining this so well and so simply (and using continental) - I watched five other videos before yours and they were so convoluted and confusing. This makes perfect sense to me! Thanks!

Thank you for making this continental

Very good video as I am a Continental knitter. I am surprised all your rows are brioche knit as many videos I’ve watch say it’s a four row process (K, P, P, K). Thank you for a clear visual.

So glad that the video has been helpful. Probably the other videos you have been watching are 2-color brioche, which follow the pattern that you referenced. Happy knitting!

Thank you! As a continental knitter you made Brioche knitting possible for me... other videos were impossible.

This is life changing!! I spent a whole day trying to knit those brioche stitches with the yarn in the front.

Thank you soooooo much for this tutorial. It’s so hard to learn things in American style when all I know how to do is continental haha! I appreciate this and you :)

Thank you thank you thank you for making this video! I have been trying to figure out this stitch for the longest time but as a continental knitter it felt impossible to suss out what i was even supposed to do from all the other videos! This makes it so easy to understand.

This video is extremely helpful! I'm wondering if you could show a video on what to do if you need to rip stitches in brioche when knitting brioche continental. Thank you!

would like to do an afghan in brioche what amount of stitches would you suggest for a throw?

Thank you for this video in continental. Can you make a video of one color brioche continental in the round? I've seen a few but I'm having a difficult time grasping the transitional phase. ~Sage

I’m just wondering - on continental knitting we knit flat through the back loop and when knitting in the round, we knit through the front loop as you’ve shown here. Or this another style of knitting alltogether?
@pasticheknitwear Жыл бұрын
It is another style of knitting -it’s called Combination Knitting. You undoubtedly pick your yarn under the needle when purling, then knit through the back leg when knitting to untwist the stitch.

I have a question I would love to make an afghan with the brioche stitch would it be squishy and look good just using one yarn instead of using two. ?
@Dixiered037 жыл бұрын
want to do this in the round!!!
@Bondoz0073 жыл бұрын
It was still hard to see where the yarn was. I didn't find this clear at all sorry. As a continental knitter the yarn would not be so hard to see so it would be more helpful to see an actual continental knitter demonstrate this.
