I agree with not listening at all to anything being it music, podcasts or even instrumental music, while working in animation. But if you are in an ambient where there are other people talking and making noises, you can abstract yourself from there if you listen to other ambients more prone to let you concentrate. So when I'm working I use to listen to ambients like libraries, or isolated and sometimes postapocaliptic ambients like the ones we can find in the Cryo chamber KZbin Channel.

I did learn a lot from this stream. I have a question, is there a way to practice drawing magic effects in battles, how do you have control on colors, smoke and highlight in a magic fight?
@TonariAnimation8 ай бұрын
The fastest way for me was to just copy effects from other animations. Sakugabooru is full of them. If you have the time to go deeper, I recommend the Elemental Magic 1 and 2 books from Joseph Gilland.

@@TonariAnimation I see thanks for the advice. I will check it out. :)

I don't necessarily think the reason your stream drawings are worse is due to a cognitive thing; you just have a habit of chicken scratching. Talking puts enough load onto the process that you revert to the most base techniques you have. Consciously replacing the chicken scratch with longer curves would probably bump your lowest level up a lot, and I don't think it would hurt regular focused work either.

You are probably right! But I'll get way more decent after a few minutes of concentration, don't worry :') Thanks for the feedback!
