I've been watching your videos for a little while now- and you've taught me a lot quicker than my drums teacher! I have a slower learning pace and find stuff like holding drumsticks a physical challenge which just annoys my teacher, learning by your videos gives me so much motivation at your style of teaching and enthusiasm, engaging with us listeners! I thank you for your hard work, I'm Grade 1 on Trinity R+P (I'm also grade 6 piano so rhythms are easier for me), and you've taught me so much providing these videos. Keep up the good work!

is it normal to tap the bass drum twice on accident when im supposed to hit the snare instead, or am i an idiot and something is wrong with my brain?
@MikeBarnesDrums2 жыл бұрын
Nothing is wrong with your brain - playing the drums takes take and practice to get smooth at. Go slow at first, build it up - you can do it. Cheers.

Ive been kearning from somebody else and my one and ONLY criticism i have for them is that in over 4 months now my left foot has done NOTHING but sit on the peddle. I was startign to get a bit worried and apprehensive about my left foot doign nothing when i know it needed to start getting used.. So i picked a song that had some chiks in it and put the time in. Do you need a drumkit? I would advise you at least have sticks. You could use pillows to drum on. The late Taylor Hawkins did. Gonna try this tomorrow. Gonna be interesting.

How’d you go?
@suminshizzles6951 Жыл бұрын
@@MikeBarnesDrums Ok. This is similar to your other grade 1 to 4 beginner/improver warmup. I do that one every single day as a warmup.
