Basic M5 Controller Display Settings for MX03/02/01

A brief chat and description of the basic Shengmilo M5 display controller settings for the MX03/02/01 fat bikes.
Shengmilo MX02 fat bike, basic and advanced M5 controller display settings.
In case you accidently change the settings, which is easily done, these are my Shengmilo MX03/02/01 M5 display settings for off-road obviously in both the UK and EU on the public road the motor assisted speed restriction is 15.5 mph/53 kph or 20 mph in the US!
P01: 001 (Display brightness 1-3)
P02: 001* (000 for Kilometres and 001* for Miles)
P03: 048 (48 Volts)
P04: 010 (Display shutdown 0-100 minutes)
P05: 001 (0= 3 PAS, 1= 5 PAS, 2= 9 PAS)
P06: 26.0* (Wheel diameter: 26* inches)
P07: 001 (1-100)
P08: 100/25* (Speed limit in kilometres: 1-100: 100*= no speed limit for off-road only or 25*= EU/UK legal speed limit)
P09: 000
P10: 002 (0: No Throttle. 1: Throttle. 2: Throttle and PAS)
P11: 001 (Pedal sensitivity setting range: 1-24)
P12: 005 (Start intensity setting range: 1-5)
P13: 012
P14: 013
P15: 39.0 (volts cut-off)
P16: Odometer zero setting (press key 5 for seconds to reset)
P17: 001 (Cruise control 0= no cruise, 1= cruise)
P18: 120 (% speed offset)
P19 000 (sets PAS 0)
P20: 000

At the steepest hills, when the motor struggles and stalls, the battery can be putting out 10+amps to try to spin the motor. I once tried climbing a 45-55 degree road and it gave up in the middle. The battery bar went down from 4 full bars to just one. Petrol is more efficient on hill terrain.

If you hold the throttle down for 10 seconds, it will automatically go into "Cruise Mode", and it will hold that speed for you until you hit the throttle, brakes or pedals .. Hope that helps

That's totally different from mine as I need to press the controller down button on the controller for several seconds for it to go into either the 'Cruise' mode when using the throttle or the 'Push/Walk' mode when stationary....!

My bike is a _26"_ but the overall dimension of the tire is actually 29". On my first ride it should have logged 12km but logged 18km. So I adjusted it to 29... we'll see what happens. 😁

Hi Ron, i've sorry for my english and my question... i've buy the mx03 and is the fist ebike that i use. I not know, but is normal that on the LCD i see only 7 Ah of consuption at the max of the speed. Can you confirm? are only 336W delivered to the motor? Thanks Antonio

At full assistance, it shows 7-8 amps max on my display too, so perfectly normal!

No controller isn't removable as for the cruse control I'm not sure it works on that model but will check it out once we return home in September!

It’s just like a normal bike, if you stop pedalling there’s no pedal assistance and you’ll slow down unless you are going downhill or using the throttle!

Neither does mine. I am pretty sure it isn't meant to. When its not accelerating the entire system is in standby.
