Watching you take off I was watching the clutch peddle. You need to adjust it. There is no end play in it. I’ve had one like yours for forty five years. Plus many others. Good luck. They’re a great tractor that never asks for much. 5:59

We had a '58 841 Powermaster w/industrial loader. The few times we had the loader off, it was a nimble, powerful, little beast. The 6-volt system gave us issues from time to time.

Yeah this tractor is a beast too and the 8 volt battery has been fairly reliable just a little harder to find.

In 90, my father & a 15 yr old me went to southren Ohio and purchased a 1958 Ford tractor. I can't remember if it was a Workmaster, or Powermaster?.. It definitely had the 5spd transmission, and was a Golden Juliblee? It was blue with gray sheetmetal. Should have never sold it.

Sounds like a good memory with a sad ending. Here in PA I still see old ford's out about if you're ever inclined to go get one. Thanks for the comment 👍

I had an a exact model in my freestall barn whose sole job was to scrape manure into the gutter daily. It was there for 25 years. It would start every time in temps of -20 or -30. Strangely, it was hard to start on 32 to 40 degree (F) when the air was humid! I put over 8000hrs on it.

Interesting that that was all it was used for being that they have so much power. Yeah I've never had an issue with it starting in cold weather. Thanks for commenting and sharing your story.
