A couple things you forgot to mention: Like, when you are swinging a huge bag of rocks, make sure you're pointing away from the windshield before you let go of the huge bag of rocks. And when you're walking around with a pocket full of razor blades, you should move them to your front pocket before sitting down so you don't damage the car seat. Other than that, you covered every possible thing you should NOT do.

@@AnthonyJ350 Q: I have an 07 v6 sp altima... 216k, had to get engine replaced (cause I beat the shit out of it), changed radiator, alternator, and some other stuff. I found a 2007 hr 350z with 62k for $14,000. Is it a good deal? Do they also have master and slave sylinder clutch problems like I had on my car? Would love to hear your advice thanks
@AnthonyJ350
@AnthonyJ350 6 жыл бұрын
Hey Jonathan, thanks for the comment! If that car is really clean that would be on par with my area (I'm in Canada and after conversion it's a little higher). The car would have to be relatively stock and super clean. Yes the HR can potentially have the same clutch issue (Nissan seem to be bad for hydraulics) as the slave is internal for 2007+ cars and difficult to change. Z1 has a retro fit kit that puts it outside, so when you change the clutch I would recommend installing this kit making the slave external. Now there is a product you can install so you don't wear out the slave or master nearly as much and gives you a proper clutch pedal feel, watch this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e2bGoYyfi7-BiKs

The quickest way to warm an engine up is to drive the car, on starting once the oil pressure is up it's ready to go. This 'warm up before driving' advice is out dated and does not apply to any modern engine. By all means wait until it warms up before using maximum performance but otherwise, start and go.

Anthony you have a lot of good information in your videos. I would add that while sitting in stop and go traffic, shift into neutral as not to put more wear and tear on the throwout bearing holding the clutch pedal down. If your struts no longer hold up the hatch in cold weather just get some new ones from Z1 ya cheapskates. The oil pressure jumps up very quickly even on cold starts but what do you do after an oil change and it takes a few seconds for the filter to fill before seeing any pressure?
@AnthonyJ350
@AnthonyJ350 7 жыл бұрын
Richard Knight Good points. I'm going to make another video like this just for driving Based on people's comments. When I do an oil change I fill the filter up with oil and rotate it so the filter is saturated with oil to minimize a dry start.

I wish they focused their business to sell parts and products at a more reasonable price to keep the vehicles on the road longer.

Hey! I've recently had a case of briefly losing control over the car and sliding at about 10-20 mph on a narrow road that was commenced by making a sharp right turn at a faster acceleration, and as a result jumping over around 3-4 inch curb with left wheels. Consequences were mostly cosmetic, as I only scratched a tad of rims and at a quick inspection and driving by a tech nothing abnormal happened. However, what I'm noticing now is on Moscow highways and most other roads (whose highest point is at the center and lowest on left and right sides - much like a sphere) in the city the car tends to lean right if the wheel doesn't have my hands on it. On some roads the wheel is straight and on some the car leans left. I've started noticing these leans ever since I had summer tires put on - it's like where the road isn't really flat and a bit bumpy the car might lean in a certain direction. I'm also pretty low on power steering fluid. So the question is - should I blame my latest accident for a primarily right lean of the car, or may this lean be explained by a messed up alignment after fitting summer tires and having a low power steering fluid? Thank you for any possible input! Oh yeah, forgot another thing to mention - when, at a low speed while driving in a parking lot, I make a sharp left turn with the driving wheel turned left to the max I'm experiencing a sort of quirky motion of the front wheels as if there are small bumps all over the place, but the road is absolutely flat, or the wheels are rather oval than round

Waiting 30 seconds to drive after starting is nonsense. The oil pump immediately pumps oil through the galleys. Using premium fuel is nonsense too -- My '03 350Z has 280,000 miles, runs beautifully, and it's never had a drop of premium fuel, never had synthetic oil in it, and it never waited 30 seconds to drive after starting the engine.

R. Cooper But the owner's manual specifically say to use 91 for the 350Z. Basically you're letting the vehicle ping on 87 and the vehicle is retarding the timing to avoid detonation. Call the Nissan dealership right now regarding that. Also you're probably making less power and not getting as good fuel economy. Just buck up and put Shell 91 in.

I don't know what they started putting in the plastic of the cars in the mid 2000's but most of them can only be cleaned with a rag lightly dampened with water only

Well in much of Europe your gas is measured by the RON number. In the us, Canada and maybe other places it is measured by (R+M)/2 or the RON number plus the MON number divided by 2. So where I live regular is 87, plus is 89 and premium is 93. So 95 in Europe will probably be comparable to 87 or 88 ish in our terms. 97 98 ish would be our premium (91 to 93)

The 1 to 2 minutes idle is bullshit for every car. The oil gets into circulation after a few seconds, if you let it idle for 2 minutes, it is 2 minutes of the engine running with cold oil, start it, wait 5 seconds, drive below 2-3k depending on the car. The oil gets up to temperature faster, means the engine suffers less from cold oil.

I heard you should only wait 30 seconds to drive the car. Modern oil is very thin and flows to the head almost instantly. On cold starts, the gasoline doesn't vaporize well so it can get on the cylinder walls and strip oil from said walls so letting it warm up first is a bad idea.
@AnthonyJ350
@AnthonyJ350 6 жыл бұрын
FroztiProductions That's 100 correct. For the most part in ideal conditions 30 seconds to a minute is all you need to let the oil circulate. Then drive the car nice till it warms up.
