Great flight. Amazing how stable that SR22 is when hand flying. Appreciate your systematic narrative and instruction.

🤪 a paper map flapping around and some steam gauges you be. Like me back in 97 🤣🤣🤪

Had my fair share of paper maps and steam-gauges when I trained in a good ol' Cessna 150 haha. Kinda miss it, but G1000 is just such a game changer!

That was fun to watch!!! Lots of memories when I did private cross countries from KORL to KOCF and KGNV and X60. Just took me MUCH longer in the C172!

I’m used to flying out with you in IFR conditions and picking up VFR flight following is real simple to request for and it’s good to stay current doing this on VFR cross country flights as back to basics Garett and ForeFlight is another great tool

Very nice to watch. At some moments I was almost piloting with you 🙂. That said there's a couple of things I would have done differently or at different moment.

Short field or Soft Field landing? Asking cuz it looks like you're keeping 78-80 kts with power all the way to touchdown.

Great video. Thoroughly enjoyed watching it. A quick question…. Is there any color of Cirrus that you have NOT flown? 😁

Hahahaha I haven't thought about that, but I guess I've gotten most of them! 😂

Garrett, do you reside in Florida? I’m relocating soon to Florida. Would love to do some flying with you. Are you using the Bose A20 headset?? If so, how do you like the way it performs? I’m interested in getting the Bose for myself, but I’m trying to beat that thousand dollar price tag. Any options?

I currently am, yes. But I'll be moving out of state by the end of this week

Good stuff Garrett! How many engine hours before the first oil change with the new engine? And were you limited to any specific power settings or leaning requirements during that initial break in?
@FlyByGarrett2 жыл бұрын
At 25 hours we change the Mineral Oil to regular oil. The factory takes care of the first 5 to 10 hours of engine operation, so really when we get the plane there aren't really any restrictions. Though I like to fly it at 85% power for a couple of hours just to be sure its properly broken in then go back to the normal 75% cruise and lean as normal

How pilots can navigate to a non-VOR airport in ND using only VOR and visual aids is beyond me! I hate VOR then and hate it now. GPS all the way!
