See, you can tell the assassins from the regular travelers because they're all like "Helloooo!!!" and "Boohoohoo!" and "Let me tell you a little secret..." They're often just standing there waiting for you to show up and trying to tempt you to talk to them. The friendly travelers are more like "Man I sure do love gemstones!" and "I'm out to get some mushrooms" and "Ayo you hear about those dragons?" and "My donkey is my bestest friend in the entire world" and "Holy SHIT those Guardians are scary" and "I'll sell you some little bugs and useless shit you could easily go get for free, how's about it?" Also, once you've talked to one, their name will show up above their head so you can tell they're OK. The assassins never show a name.
