I love how a lot of the struggles that came from this video stem from the fact that this guy was playing a 60fps mod when barely anything was adapted to suit it. That Phantom Ganon fight was hilarious just how much faster his blasts were going than they go in the original version of the game.

@@ahumanbeingfromtheearth1502 the issue is N64 emulation just sucks when your playing on an actual N64 you can't notice how the framerate is cause it's the set hardware on PC however when someone emulates 20 fps looks like absolute trash cause modern PCs are usually running things like uh idk anything intensive in 2023 i haven't paid attention to what's released hell even 2013 has things that look more natural at 20 fps on pc than emulated OoT (the pc port slaps though just dont mention you downloaded a rom in the discord cause nintendo ceos are cringe)

@@ImPersonNation in 98 it was a game changer, first game to have lock on targeting and set the standards for 3D action adventure games. It may not stand up well 23 years later but I still thoroughly enjoy playing OOT as well as Majoras Mask to this day, probably because I played them as a kid but I still think they are solid games.

It's his framerate not the game itself. The game is coded in 20+ fps if you manage to somehow unlock the framerate, the game will get buggy as hell.

I've beaten Master Quest around 11 times already, but in my very first playthrough of the normal version I didn't know I was able to bottle fairies. My english was sht and I had to play it mostly based on trial and error.

@@8Kazuja8 FPS also changes jump distance of link and length of hookshot... it's incredible how much is linked to FPS that we wouldn't believe if we didn't know. I still think the original is the best way to play the game... hopefully we get to have a perfect recreation with HD+high framerate, because this game definitely needs it!

@@NobaraGamezzz You can upgrade your wallet pouch by killing golden skulltulas. You get the adult's wallet (200 rupees) by killing 10 and the giant's wallet (500 rupees) by killing 20. You can collect these rewards in the Golden Skulltula House in Kakariko Village. I hope this helps!

@@leargamma4912 His issues with targeting was because he was trying to lock on by aiming the center of the screen/camera at what he wanted to target, like in Dark Souls games, instead of having Link face what he wanted to target, like in Zelda games.

@paula I don't think it's bad to modify a game to make it look better in this sense, it's not better resolution, textures, framerate makes the game worse... but of course, it takes time to make the versions play like the original when it's not as simple as just making the graphics better and increasing the framerate, this game was obviously not made for that. And, honestly, I would love to play an HD version with the original models, but I also want it to be played exactly the same.

@@jacob3178259 Its not that simple. Since the people porting the games to PC dont have the actual source code, they dont know how it runs so they make them from scratch which is why they run horribly most of the time.

@@nucleus691 Not necessarily, they have decrypted roms you can find online and you can run them on Citra no problem, if not, decrypters are also available so you can decrypt your ported code from your games.

I think the issue you had that made some bosses feel more difficult was due to a 60fps mod making their attacks be at triple speed, specially when you had to play tennis with phantom Ganon, great content as always pongsifu (Not sarcasm)

This is one of my favourite games that I played as a kid and this was friggin' hilarious. This mod is clearly glitchy as all heck, though it looks nice. I never saw half the weirdness you did. Bravo, though, it's very hard to go through old games like this with their weird old jankiness.

This game has aged incresibly well imo, especially when upscaled to smooth out all the lines. I think some of the first 3d games actually aged better visually than a lot of later ones because there was a time where everything looked almost real but was just far enough to be more creepy than anything

I love how he got the Dodongo's heart piece the unintended way and thought nothing of it. I also completely agree with the bomb wall puzzle/skill check that he ran into, as a kid I always had the same problem timing it just right and I always thought it was a really weird and clumsy sort of trick that seemed more like it should hide a secret than be a part of the dungeon's progression

@@lolschrauber What's weird is that that's literally the only time in the game anything like that is ever asked of the player, and it happens right away as soon as you get the bombs. Then you're never asked to throw a bomb so perfectly while throwing from a relatively small platform ever again. It's definitely odd from a design standpoint, whether one figures it out intuitively or not

I was equally bad at this game the first time I played it. I replayed the 3DS release after 15 years and I literally didn't die once and humiliated every boss in my way. Unlike my first experience with that game, now I can read.

@@shredjward I have the original already and beat it years ago. My brother hijacked it though so I downloaded the Wii U port because I had wanted to play it again, this time it’s 100% complete. I love the original for the gameplay but I like the upgraded look of the remake. I don’t like the changes to the bosses in MM3D though, that’s my only beef with it so far.

You can throw the bomb near that area and backflip onto that rock

@@burningadri6775 The problem is the bomb is in your way so the best thing to do is to throw the bomb first and then back flip. If you try to back flip first you'll pick up the bomb and you can't jump off the ledge. So it's best to quickly throw the bomb and then back flip.

Looks like things turned around for you at the Spirit Temple, same as me. I can't tell if it was because it was my first Zelda, so I wasn't super acquainted with its formulas and puzzles yet, but the Spirit Temple was the only one in the game I consistently enjoyed solving.
