Another great line of eye protection to check out is Wiley X. All of their glasses are ANSI rated as far as I know. Plus, the glasses they have with polarized lenses are outstanding. The visual clarity is top notch. They work great as sunglasses for everyday use too. For that reason in particular, I generally always have my eye pro with me in case a sporadic trip to the range occurs. Fair warning, the frame on them is kinda thick, which might cause your ear protection to break the seal around the ear and lose some effectiveness. I hadn't actually considered that aspect till I saw Garand Thumb point it out in this video, but its never really been a problem for me. So give Wiley X a look, or don't. I ain't trying to tell you how to live your life.

Started my tacticool journey w/ a pair of Wiley X SG-1 with custom special-edition mirrored lenses. I had no end of problems w/ sweating and fogging, in a drydrydry Australia and SoCal... So I got me a sweet pair of ESS CDIs, which went through my hell of a rough treatment and survived, only to get lost by my niece-in-law, by the fault of all my in-laws... So I'm currently wearing ESS ICE, currently on my 3rd pair. They're highly recommended, no problems with them, I ensure they stay on my head by doing up a custom-knotted self-tightened elastic bungie. Finally stored away my much-well-used and loved ESS ICE, replacing them with a sweet pair of ESS Crossbow, if it's good enough for Nutnfancy, it's good enough for me!

I was introduced to the Rommel II by several SWCC members during an extended TAD tour in ASF and volunteered for bay patrolling that was an incredible fun time on the water going very fast and getting to shooting a M240B at stationary and moving targets. So my personnel recommendation would be the Oakley Shocktubes if you want a lower profile ballistic sunglass. They're saved my eyesight when a lady decided to head-oned my patrol vehicle earlier this year (2022). They held up without even a scratch despite flying glass, debris, and full airbag deployment. I have a lot of Oakley sunglass, and ballistic sunglasses in general, but I always revert back to the Shocktubes.

@@danielney6 I have two different frames for them, the slim one for under earpro has little holes for an included strap and the “normal” sunglasses frame has rubber grips on the arms. The strap is really unobtrusive and the other frames fit like normal sunglasses. I find the slim frames fall off without earpro and honestly I just have the lanyard always attached to them.

If one is looking for a set of clear eyepro, then strolling down to the safety glasses at Home Depot or Tractor Supply can yield some good results. Construction guys who have to wear them all day will complain about all the stuff you might, so they will be comfortable and antifog, as well as have a Z87.1 rating. Plus you might save a couple bucks from them not being marketed as "tactical".

Up until a year ago, I didn’t realize that I need better eyepro. Not because I was wearing sub par ones but because I needed Asian fit ones. Flannel Review for outdoors use. People keep asking. I hope this comment will suffice. Cotton kills absorbs moisture such as sweat and doesn't retain heat as well as other materials. So it can get hard to keep warm in a wet shirt. Wool is good for warmth and doesn't absorb as much moisture. As for tactical/duty use: Cotton wool blends may be the way to go as long as it's 50/50 blend or mostly wool.

I have a set of Oakley M Frame 3.0's and have had them for about 3 years now and wear them just about everyday. They're great under over the ear hearing pro, the brow can sometimes get pushed against your forehead and contain the sweat but it's not very often. The only thing I hated was that little clip that holds the lense to the frames, it broke about 6 months ago or so and I doubt I can get a replacement of just that part. I was looking to replace them with the new M Frame Alphas soon though. Other than that stupid little lense clip thing, (Which has been eliminated on the Alphas) they work amazingly well. That and they look pretty cool and that's what matters the most.
