Basil went the "OG AUBREY" route, with the loss of Sunny and the general abandonment being the causes of his state. Basil didn't join a gang, contrasting Aubrey, and he is more aggressive. Thanks to his trait of being attached to people (Sunny), and his constant paranoia, he's probably still in a crisis, which makes his aggression a bit worse.

I feel like Basil would blame Mari for what happened because she was the older sister, she was supposed to be responsible for him, yet no matter how well Mari and Hero may have covered it up as an accident, she still would have been in the house, and he died on her watch.

I mean if this follows the normal route of Omari, than he isn’t blaming her as that implies it’s possible it wasn’t her fault, she is outright guilty. Accident or not, she still did the deed. What confuses me is him saying “especially Aubrey” when Hero is typically the one who helps Mari cover it up in Omari.

@@montelt7103this is purely my assumption, but i think Basil blames Aubrey mainly because she is closer to Aubrey (similar to Kel in the OG game). Aubrey and Mari are practically sisters. So i assume thats why Basil is especially angry at her. It could also be resentment

I dislike how the omari AU makes Aubrey similar to Kel and so much more kind, because she used to vent to Sunny and we know this, plus she still would have felt like everyone was leaving her behind, like in the og, she would still be rude, but maybe have a soft spot for Mari. When Sunny died Aubrey not only lost her friend who she shared her life with and who knew what she was going through, but both her older sister figure and her first friend.

I love me some angry Basil. Here's my take on Omari AU Basil. Mari and Hero buried Sunny's dead body and then told everyone else that he ran away and got lost even though Mari killed him when she slapped him too hard and he fall backwards down the stairs and snapped his neck killing him and then Aubrey, Basil and Kel put up missing person posters all over the town but the search was called off. After the search was called off he had a complete meltdown believing that nobody else cared about Sunny and takes all his anger on Mari and blames her and her perfectionism and always putting pressure on him as the reason why Sunny ran away and he also hates Aubrey for siding with Mari after his meltdown. He also hates Hero, and Kel spends most of his time trying to get Aubrey and Basil to make up with enough other but with no luck as it often ends Basil getting angry and even violent with him and Aubrey. He even swears at times, and Mari doesn't like swearing mostly because of Sunny's last words, him yelling the f wrord at her.

Aubrey wouldn’t have bullied anyone, support other people bullying someone (in both cases the victim being her friend) or become a delinquent. That is up until everything went down. Losing someone you care about and then being left alone, then adding on how age naturally changes a person and you get a completely different person than the one you started off with. There’s also the fact that Basil knows the truth, yet has kept it to himself. OG Basil wouldn’t have done that, but this isn’t OG Basil.
