There was absolutely no cause for the initial officers to treat you so rudely, and you had a struggle getting the final lady to pay attention to you. What gets into these public servants? I always assume it's because they hate their jobs.

That always was the council offices the main station is in jays close. The original station was over road where the building work was going on.

Run Lock for Emergency Services Police: the police computer needs to be on all the time in their cars, and draws a huge amount of battery power, so run-lock saves them from re-booting the ANPR computers every time they park or stop.

The building you were filming wasn't the police station it was the council offices. The police station was on the other side of the road opposite the council, but has since been demolished. A new constabulary is in the viables area of Basingstoke 👍✌️👊

Finally - one decent 👮‍♀️ that was prepared to interact. The rest of them weren't up to scratch 🤔. Should've reported the broken 📱 lol - missed opportunity there. I have come across a few cars - usually high performance - that are fitted with a "turbo timer".... It allows the vehicle to run for a few minutes after locking it up - designed to allow the engine and turbo a chance to cool down as I know that some can explode/fail after a hard fast drive 🤔. If it was a dog unit , i believe its protocol to leave the engine running to power the air conditioning . know that is the case in the states and a uk police dog handler also gave the same reason being due to the dogs welfare .
