Ronaldo is a great specimen of physicality, tall, strong; and he's worked hard teach himself how to use those physical traits to excel in football. But Messi doesn't have any of that. He a diminutive man, not nearly tall enough, not very strong, but he has this t talent and supernatural ability to play football, and even though he puts in hard work, it isn't nearly as much as other players, because to him it just seems to come natural. So as a physical player, definitely Ronaldo is great, one of the best. But if you boil it down to what football really is, the technical ability, the ability to read the game and control it, in all those aspects, Messi is a god. Ronaldo can score crazy goals, but his influence ends there. Messi can do nearly everything, assist, give key passes, control the midfield, score. He's just a perfect complete footballer.

i'd also add that many people seem to not take into consideration messi's speed and strenght which also makes him a physical player,and on the other hand if you watch ronaldo younger you can definitely tell he was very talented and had that native skill,to some degree like messi.In conclusion both players have each other traits so to say,the difference might be the progress they made throughout their career but messi is also physical and same ronaldo has that supernatural ability ,both complete players and top athletes
