What in a world are u talking about? All countries here u have seen have access to much bigger variety of things than average American. Everyone has their own culture, music, movies, tv shows, many many sport events, plus many different combinations from different states in Europe, while Americans are only limited to their own production.

@@TSRSports50 Thing is, plenty of of European clubs play many sports, and their fanbase tends to follow "their" club in any sports. So a Panathinaikos fan will probably go to all football AND basketball games. Not just one of them. Because you are as much fan of the club as you are of the sport.

​@@TSRSports50 There is no place poorest than Detroit and all of those places (Chicago, OKC etc) in Europe but Ukrania because of the war and if you talk in term of sport or cultural event, clearly, and by far, Europe as a whole is bigger. And it's really a mistake if you think people of Turkey or Greece got nothing else but basketball, they are milleniums country and culture. Even in term of sport, in the top 10 of the main sport event 6 are in Europe and 4 easily in the top 5(Champion's league, tour de France, Monaco gp, 24h du Mans, Wimbledon and RG) only beats by big event occuring every 4 years which are Olympics, World cup soccer, World cup rugby and European nation cup( In Europe ofc), in which Europe are the best or among the best (for Rugby New Zealand is actually the best country). Those clubs are basically in the places and region all your rich people flies whenever it is good weather to enjoy life.

They don’t let any strangers or tourists in the arena. It’s way to dangerous. The police und security have nothing to say in the arena. They are only decoration which the fans allowed to be there. The ultra-fans are extremely armed. Knife, Guns, even machine guns, in the arenas are everything. If you provoke someone or someone think that you trying to provoke him it’s probably your last day. Not even joking. I’m from Europe self.💪🏿

In the US it's about having fun. In Europe it's about passion. And it's have nothing to do with the number of spots people can watch. It's the sport culture that different. For example, In all American sports it's franchise, bought with money. In Europe it's clubs (same club with several sports teams), and only the performances matter.

Are you for real, " less to choose from" in Europe, come out of your cocooned world and go visit a soccer/ rugby match in Europe. Sport in American is an entertainment product , in Europe its a religion fueled by passionate supporters.

My sport team S.L Benfica (Portugal) has: football (juniors/seniors, male and female), futsal, basketball, volley, roller hockey, rugby, athletics, handball, combat sports (boxing,kickboxing, judo, K1...) swimming, pool, paintball, triathlon, golfe, canoeing, gymnastics, table tennis, water polo, fishing sports, figure skating, and more... American teams have one sport!

Having gone to sport events on both continents the difference is honestly really simple. I've been to cirque du soleil, stand up comedy shows, etc. That's American sports. It's a performance. Carefully crafted to give people what they want. In Europe you ARE the entertainment.

Wtf.... we have bigger selection movies and movie festivals, for sports we have much more then us if we do not count some silly ones. Plus almost half of those chants were during half times or before matches (like first one, you can even see screen still dark and empty court) here club is not for weekend night. Here you are part of the club.

I don't know if me means it sarcastic or if his horizon is that small. We have here a lot of different kinds of sport and entertainment. You grow up with the passion and the love to that club. The club is our second home and we will stand with it. It is not just entertainment, it is love, tears and sacrifice for your one and only love

You dont get it at all. Manny european football clubs have a history in other sports long before the fifa came up. Turning in football clubs with the founding of professional leauges in europe. And dude...just think before you beginn to speak!!! Europe goes through 3 wars in the last 150 years. Just imagine after the 2th world war people had nothing. The only positive thing was the sport with the beginning of the professional leauges. So the next generations are born into this. btw. what you saw happens when europeans get passionate. In the states people just start shooting. (252 Mass Shootings in 2019 so far)

It is not that dangerous to go to a game in europe, just pay respect and let them to their thing. Most people think it’s fun to see an american in their stadium. But if you tell them to put away the flag, then you are screwed :)

In Europe, a sports club, for example Barcelona, has several sports sections such as football, basketball, handball, volleyball, rugby, etc. What you see in the stands, they are not just basketball fans, they are fans of the club regardless of the sport. You will see the same fans in basketball, volleyball, football, handball ...

A team in Europe particularly football/soccer is not just a simple sport, but it represents a community, where you are from, and people become fiercely loyal and passionate. Rivalry runs high and a tribal mob mentality kicks in, it's more important than just the sport, it's a matter of pride, love and mental well being. Your American sports will never replicate this, nor will your fans.

In England we also have a multitude of Sports but FOOTBALL (soccer) is THE worldwide game other than parts of Asia (Cricket ) and North America. Basketball is by no means one of the major European Sports though it IS huge in a few Countries like Greece and Turkey....

In Europe, in some countries (not all), a club can have several sports. Football, basketball, hockey, volleyball and others. And they all have one logo, one colors ,one name and the same fans. While in America, every sport in a city has a different team with a different name, different colors and different logos!

10:04 Europeans ususally have more variety to chose from than americans. Since Europe's a country, and the EU alone has 450 million people. Apart from the fact that basketball isn't even the most popular sport in Europe (that's soccer), there's basically everything else in sports than are in the US (except for maybe cricket, that's more a british thing). Multiple movie industries, amusement parks, more zoos (Germany alone has more than 400 zoos, and also the biggest one in the world) and museums than the US has to offer.

I think Europeans and their clubs are more attached to where they're from. A club could never just "move" like a franchise. Even being based on the other side of town is "wrong". So whether you're playing a different city, or your local rival, it's about showing the opposition who is boss. And regarding the big flags; That means you need to win in the stands, and on the pitch. Sacrificing some seconds of gameplay to "intimidate" the opponent.

However.. if u see the american football crowds from US or south america you'll see them more passionate than the Us fans

In all of europe passion is spread throughout cities, panathinaikos for an example their basketball teams hockey teams and football teams are a similar base, in my city we are just big with football because in england our national sports are cricket football and rugby but we have loads of other sports with passion but football fans are among the most amazing fanbases. Passion through the roof during the casual period (i.e. why nike fila and adidas are as big as they are now) but during this period england had a hooligan problem where people from one city will fight another’s firm. Same with the ultras

The biggest difference between USA and Europe is in America you guys are fans/clients of the teams, in Europe we are in the majority supporters and that is a huge difference in questions of passion!!!! Supporters don't care about how good their sits are or how nice the food or drinks are...we are there simply to support the team!!!!
