In which universe is Bartzokas the best European coach in the last 5 years? He won 0 Euroleagues in that period, and managed to lose Sloukas, who brought the Euroleague to the biggest rival. There's not enough time for practice in this format, everything comes down to the selection and scouting of players, good work and practice is not decisive anymore. Ataman is a good example. He was nowhere in the previous system, but Ataman knows a large pool of American players. It's a sad fact of European club basketball, EL is a league of veterans and American players.

The NBA went through the 3-pt revolution and overshot. Now that 3pt has led to much better spacing, it slowly corrects towards cutting basketball to find the open lanes. It is a normal cycle of overall improvement, we just witnessed the necessary experimentation period with bad basketball. In a few years we will be watching the next level of basketball with a lot of 3pt shooting that facilitates a ton of off-ball action for open-lane drives; it's gonna be beautiful!!

Essentially the NBA is rediscovering basketball 🏀.... Before Bartzokas Giannakis was playing this and even before him Ioannides. And in the time of Ioannides NBA teams were doing this too, like Portland, Cavs, Hawks , Sonics even the Bulls. This is essentially what you have to do when you have a small forward that doesn't shoot threes. Dominique Wilkins made a career out of it by cutting into the basket being so fast and explosive that it was extremely difficult to guard him either off ball 🏀 or trying to stop him in the paint

@@NikolaNedeljkovic-x7g KD doesnt like "movement" orientated systems. Other than the Draymond/Fans fiasco, he hated Kerr's constant movement "controlled chaos" system. He likes iso. go get buckets screen and attack the mismatch system but always complains about it.

He was going to be the Hornets next coach but he didnt like the situation or what they were building in Charlotte. Plus it gave him more time under Kerr and to coach in the olympics with France and Collet. And JB is doing the same thing he did with the Cavs. Great developmental coach but when players get in the primes, the offense will get stagnant under him like it did with the Cavs.

In nba players doesn't know to cut in the paint ! In 80's that's was a basic move for trailers to in the paint when going to attack Now it's just 1v1 an other stay far away of the rime They all want to shoot 3's But there is always more easy 2's that they miss by trying 3's

I think you misunderstand on which side of the Atlantic influences which... All these examples you mentioned where first introduced by Kerr and Golden State warriors when they won their championship in 2015. Of course it was based on the "beautiful game" of San Antonio but the multiple off ball screens, 45o cuts and big guy brings down the ball are all Kerr Golden state era basketball, not Bartzokas...
