That area is my kind of place. Clearer water but the small canals that only certain boats can get through is a place I can spend the day by myself. Flipping or casting it don’t matter. Being ing that environment is what I love most. God Bless. Thank you for sharing your knowledge

The first things to muddy up are also the first things to clear up too because new water is cycling through. I 10 to 1 rather fish muddy water then clear water. Even cold muddy water that everyone hates. Idk why but I just feel much more confident in my abilities when the water is just muddy as it can be. Normally they get as shallow as they can and as TIGHT to cover as they can get. Which narrows your places you need to look. When the water starts falling, normally, you fish the same type of cover, just further off the bank. When they feel that water start to drop just a wee bit they move. I didn't grow up fishing lakes. I grew up pond and river fishing. And around here, your ponds stay muddy more then there not. Just makes me feel good about things. Crystal clear water scares me. That light line and finesse, deep water shit is my Achilles heel.

Was there also a cold front or just rain/ muddy water? I fished our classic tournament last week at Guntersville and there was a extreme cold front and flood water. I couldn't find fish and was lost . I know fish go shallow when muddy and water rising. And go deep when water falling and cold. I couldn't get a bite for five days.

Looks like how I expect my lake to look especially at the upper end where it's fed by a huge river. I was hoping to fish today but the ground is soppy and I'll probably dig ruts in the yard trying to get my boat out lol. Hopefully I can get out tomorrow after the anticipated warm weather and wind will dry up the ground some. Btw I love your alumacraft. I have a 2001 bass tracker I just upgraded the electronics on. I have had this boat since I was about 8 years old. My grandfather bought it for me for my bday. We actually bought it for $4000 from a guy at our church that only used it literally a handful of times. I'm hoping in a year after I graduate college to get an alumacraft or ranger rt188. I won't ever sell this bass tracker though because my grandfather just passed away a month ago and we fished out of it for 13 years together

It sounds like those spinnerbaits you use are colar weighted spinnerbaits. Tru Trac Lures makes them. You can get the good weights with smaller heads. That makes them a little more compact.

Fluke I see you are running a Yamaha 115 SHO 4 Stroke. May I ask what prop your dealer put on the boat when you prurchaed? The reason I ask is that I purchased a brand new Ranger RT188 in late 2016 with that motor and after using it extensively in 2017 & 2018 and constantly being disappointed with the motors performance I learned by speaking directly with Yamaha that my dealer did not sell me the boat / motor package with the correct prop. I was sold with a cheap incorrect size and pitch aluminum prop? I was not even given the choice or told to get the correct prop was an upgrade (if it really was)?
@fahyoutdoors13005 жыл бұрын
