Returned to the creek we fished a few
days earlier to see if the fish were still
active. The pattern we established using
squarebill crankbaits and Texas rigged
plastics continued to produce catches.

Is that back in Walnut Creek? I’m trying to figure out the best way to get back there in my boat because I have a Lowe deep V 16ft and it gets shallow the further south you head away from Loyd Park.

Yes, Walnut Creek. I was able to get into the creek last week with no issues. I have a friend that has a center console skeeter with a deeper V hull and he said he was also able to get his boat into the creek. I think you should be fine with the lake only 1 ft low right now. I did trim up and idle for longer than I normally do but it was an uneventful ride into the creek proper. Good luck! I hope you catch a bunch!
