That is an incredible location, even without fish. Like you say, though, a decent fish makes it even more special.

TA Fishing: if you wanted to give a go to bait-caster reels and lure fishing , I would recommend one of the ABU low profile bait casters like ABU Garcia Black Max. With light enough line, and with lighter lures, you can still cast pretty far on it. It does require to use bait caster rod though (due to how the reel is profiled), and some fine tuning of the breaks for each lure of course. But over all the Black Max and the Silver Max are really decent reels (If you like Multipliers).

No.To be honest I rarely get to shorefish Courtmac the boat fishing is that good. I had a half day spare so asked Trish Gannon where to go. She sent me right over the other side of Seven Heads peninsula to Dunworley beach ? There's a bit of a car park by the beach. But you know the best shore fishing can often be between the sailing club and Woodpoint at end of Courtmac estuary ? Weed can be a pain, but I hear it clears later in year. Bubble float and sandeel there I'm told as its shallower.

Depends if you are using big baits like lobworm, luncheon meat etc, or just a couple of maggots. For small baits like maggots use a straight stem waggler. For larger baits use a bodied waggler, and don't forget to add the weight of the bait when you shot it if you are suspending the bait off the bottom.

Hello TAFishing, great channel and lovely videos. One question though, did you guys ever consider Sea Trout? I've been trying from the shore a few times, but I haven't had any luck yet. I might be doing something wrong, so maybe a Sea Trout video, I've heard they're a sport to catch, at least here in Denmark they are. Thanks for reading and keep up the good work.

Would you use a snap to attach the lure to the line? Or do you attach the line directly to the lure?
@TAFishing11 жыл бұрын
We just tied each lure on, but you could use a snap swivel. Would make changing lures much quicker.But use good patterns that won't open up under pressure.Best is an American pattern called a Crosslock.Don't know if you can still get them in the UK

hi what rod should I get to do some lure fishing. im new to fishing the sea and your vids are helping me out loads. cheers
@TAFishing10 жыл бұрын
Just an 8 or 9 foot two piece spinning rod. Maybe try a pike or carp rod first if that's what you do. Might save you the money of going to buy a spinning rod. I would just get a fibreglass rod if you do have to buy one. They will be more forgiving than a carbon one, and lots cheaper as well
@solti6910 жыл бұрын
